WILL: Follow the Light, without the few negative hiccups I noted, is a 10 out of 10 game. But as it stands right now, the few nits that exist within the game pull away from that score slightly - but only slightly. That being said though, if these updates and needed fixes are made, I can easily see this being a can’t-miss game. The beautiful, yet heart-wrenching story, coupled with the intriguing puzzles and environment of the game itself make for an unforgettable digital experience.

WILL: Follow the Light starts slow but ultimately represents an emotional, cathartic journey thick with sensitive themes, including grief and estrangement. It's not long, but the weight of the heartbreaking story is worth every penny.

Will: Follow the Light is far more than just an ordinary walking simulator; it’s an adventure that draws you in with its mysterious, heartfelt, and immersive story. Setting aside the occasional technical glitches that can be frustrating and moments when the game leaves you without a clue, this is a labor of love that fans of the adventure genre—or rather, those who want to lose themselves in a strong story and world-building—should definitely play. Ah, if only it had been polished a bit more.

WILL: Follow the Light tells a simple story of a man trying to look for his son after a massive storm, and along the way, has to confront the mysteries of his own life. The intimate nature of the core premise is compelling enough to carry this walking simulator throughout its entire runtime.

TomorrowHead Studio's debut is technically impressive in its use of UE5's lighting. Will: Follow The Light's execution may be bumpier in other areas, while the story might not linger in the memory for long, but it still makes for a stunning and unforgettable trip to the north in all its desolate beauty.

WILL: Follow the Light is a powerful narrative that offers a combination of realism and some failed ambition.

Will: Follow the Light had a compelling premise that could have set it apart from the sea of walking simulators. In fact, the plot framework remains intriguing, but the execution falls short due to lackluster voice acting that lacks both emphasis and intent, failing to convey the urgency of the situation in which our protagonist finds himself. The puzzles also fail to engage, and when you’re not using a mouse and keyboard, they’re hampered by an ineffective control scheme. Will: Follow the Light remains a personal project by a small team grappling with an intriguing production, but it should be viewed as a starting point from which to build upon for Tomorrow Head’s future works.

The ship voyage is connected to a deeply personal story that will touch you and definitely won't leave you cold. It's a shame, though, that the game uses outdated mechanics and graphics.

With strong presentation and a promising premise, the adventure entertains while it lasts but leaves no lasting impression. Nevertheless—and although it is a shame that the positive vibes of the opening and the navigation sequences don't quite reach their full potential—the game’s reflection on how past trauma shapes our perception of the present, along with its use of light as a narrative device, are elements to appreciate during the five or six hours it takes to reach the end credits. If these themes interest you, it is worth giving the game a chance. Otherwise, it is best to let Will shoulder the burden of his past decisions alone.
