From the second you put this game in; you will not want to stop playing. It might consume your life until you finish it, or until you get stuck that you can't deal with the stress anymore.

It's large, it's intense, it's huge, and it looks and sounds great. Vagrant Story is a true classic action/RPG in every sense that will hook you in from the start and never let go.

Vagrant Story is that PlayStation title, the one all gamers have been waiting for, and one that's caused me to lose sleep, eat poorly (back to Chicken In A Bisket for me!) and shower on an irregular basis...all in the pursuit of gaming enlightenment.

A melange of the action, adventure and RPG genres, Square has truly beaten all odds and produced an engaging, seamless epic unlike any other. Despite a few interface and complexity issues, Vagrant Story is a rare and nearly perfected game.

A higher recommendation than "Vagrant Story" we can only give to "Chrono Cross", but coming second behind that masterpiece is like being the second child of a wealthy family: your older brother/sister will likely inherit the business, but you're guaranteed a sweet and cushy life.

The videogame equivalent of a stained-glass window. Beautiful in composition, masterful in design, inspiring, magical, and yet sometimes distant and cold. It's a wonderful game, but it's hard to love.

If I wasn't afraid of the weight of the statement, I would definitely call this the greatest game ever made. Instead, I'll just say it's quite possibly and probably the greatest.

After all, it's still just the gunblade attack wearing a new dress. But what a pretty dress it is - curvy customizations, tight chain attacks, and sparkly exploration. Despite its somewhat limited action elements, VS presents a unique RPG with terrific storytelling.
