If you haven't picked up TowerFall yet, go get it. If you like it, then buy Dark World. It's that simple.

A good expansion. Dark World offers the opportunity for a 4 player co-op experience, which was not an option in the base game. I've had a blast playing through the co-op version of this game with my 3 best friends. I'll admit tackling Legendary has tested our frustrations with each other, but it's all in good fun. Outside the new co-op experience I feel that it did not offer much else. I'd give it a 7.5, but will round up to 8 here since I've put so may hours into this couch co-op masterpiece and still find myself coming back every time the boys are all in town.

I am basing this score off the fact that you already like the original game, as any expansion should be based off of. With that being said, more maps, new bosses and creatures to fight. Along with more setting and an additional character to play for multiplayer, whats not to like. If i am being extremely nit-picky then i'd say 10$ is maybe a bit steep compared to the game, but absolutely zero percent of additions to the game are bad, so 'matt makes games' is clearly doing this one right.

Dark World costs the same as the base game, yet it offers very little. There are some new power-ups, new multiplayer campaign, new maps and all that riff-raff, but nothing you can't live without. I enjoyed the base game so much that I didn't think twice buying this, but it is in no way a must buy.
