The Wardrobe
For a game about the undead, The Wardrobe is ironically packed with life. A few unfair puzzles can’t dampen its sheer enthusiasm and sense of fun.
Sharp self-aware humor and crazy characters are what every old school point & click fan likes, and this game has a ton of it. Where the game wasn't so successful is the puzzle design and story development.
A reliance on meta-jokes and pop-culture references, alongside irrational puzzle design leave this point and click adventure falling short of its true potential. Fans of the genre will likely find enjoyment here though, if only due to the obvious inspirations behind the game.

Really nice indie game, a lot of Easter eggs and good dubbing.

The Wardrobe does not have some magnificent 3D engine nor some extra-cool special effects for your graphic cards, but it does have tons of black humour and a lot of abstruse puzzles that will please the old-school adventure fans.

The Overpowered Noobs
The Wardrobe manages to pull off a fulfilling, novel story with artistic flair and only a few setbacks, setting it apart in the sea of retro-inspired, pixel-laden, nostalgia-inducing point-and-clicks. The story is witty, the vast cast of characters is intriguing, and, while the ending isn’t very satisfactory, the journey is a worthwhile one.

A hilarious point-and-click adventure, with tons of quotes from movies, tv shows, and games, and funny dialogues. The gameplay is pretty traditional, though even too cruel sometimes. Still, if you want to have some fun playing a decent adventure, this is a good pick.

In summary The Wardrobe is very interesting graphic adventure with a fun and mature storyline, who knows how to engage the player in history thanks to the constant breaking of the fourth wall. Although for newcomers to the genre can be a bit frustrating in some circumstances, it is a title accessible to all that will positively surprise even the most skeptical of an indie title. So I advise everyone to give an opportunity to The Wardrobe whether you loved titles like Days of the Tentacle and Monkey Island, whether it is the first game of this genre you play. ****/the-wardrobe-recensione/

The game is pretty fun in my opionion. An incredibile amount of care has gone to the details and I love that the game is full of references. The dialogues are funny and always fresh. However, the game is pretty short, leaving you hungry for more, and in some points you can get stuck not knowing what to do and forced to "try everything with everything" just to find out that the object you were looking for can be obtained with a combination that makes no sense

I love point and click adventure games so I got this. It's pretty good and true to the classics but with some issues. The puzzles are very wacky and not really logical, they're set as comedy gags which take time to figure out by trying everything, that's kind of annoying. The art is great but could use a little variety. Pop culture references everywhere but no real theme. The ending was weak too. Overall, a good classic advneture game but a little too wacky.

SummaryInspired by the great ‘90s classics such as 'Monkey Island', 'Day of the Tentacle', 'Tony Tough' and 'Sam & Max: Hit the Road', "The Wardrobe" has a strong sense of humour, but isn't shy about dealing with mature and non-politically correct themes.
