Clearly inspired by The Binding of Isaac in some aspects, it forms its own personality by leaning on the solid basics of roguelike platform games. It is unfortunately plagued by some technical problems. Considering the high level of the competition, that stuff matters.

The Madness of Little Emma is a wonderful Binding of Issac inspired roguelike. While the atmosphere is not as substantial as The Binding of Issac it certainly does a good job. Consider it a well done budget version of The Binding of Issac. The ladder mode is an interesting idea that gives you a ranking increase depending how far you get on each run, and the different items you find on each run are unique and useful just like The Binding of Issac. The soundtrack however, does not add much to the game and could have been better, Overall this game can be gotten cheap during Steam sales and even without a sale it's worth the regular price.
