I'm sorry that Syberia got to the end like this, and it's probably my last memory of this game. Unfortunately, this Kate's adventure is not worth playing, even if it was in a discount. [Issue#275]

A sloppy sequel to a great game marred with decade-old problems.

Somewhere under all that technical and gameplay-related mess you can catch a glimpse of good old Syberia, but overall the game is so poor that as a fan of the series it made me want to hurt myself. [06/2017, p.52]

I am a fan of the series but generally the controls are clunky. The best thing about it is the lore and the environments but they do need to improve the UI and gameplay.

My proper entry into the series was with Syberia - The World Before, which I absolutely loved. I had tried a bit of Syberia 3 before that, but the horrendous voice acting made me quit relatively fast. Then after loving Syberia - The World Before so much, I thought I will give Syberia 3 another chance, and just sit through the voice acting torture. Do you know those Russian movie dubs where one guy voices everyone, male or female, in the same emotionless voice live over the original voice actors? Those dubs are better. Seriously, I think if I was given the job to dub Syberia 3 all by myself, I would do a better job than the devs.

First of all I wasn't even able to finish the game because of the bug. The game itself has a LOT of bugs with the controls, animations, camera and puzzles. Controls are really bad in this game. Some of the puzzles rely on it and this is pure nightmare. The plot is weak and has a lot of dumb moments so the game isn't really holding that much. I had a bug that blocked me from finishing the game. Even though I'm a huge fan of the series and finished two previous games it wasn't that hard to abandon this one

Syberia 3 brings back, in a very beautiful way, the genre of the graphic adventure. It has some performance issues and frame-drops, but everyone who loves the genre should give it a try.

Fans of the previous 2 games may have enough love banked for the series to carry them through this release. For anyone else I would suggest finding a different adventure game.

Game does not deserve a 10 but neither a 0. So it would balance...Love the music, history is fine. Hopefully I have a good PC to have it run...

A game that is strong on character and story, demanding that in order to progress, you solve problems rather than shoot or blow things up, Syberia 3 is the best game in the Syberia series. In it, as Kate Walker, a New York attorney who has abandoned her career for adventure in pursuit of meaning, you will have a great time with a host of characters in beautiful environments. This game has me hooked and for the 20 to 30 hours I'll be playing my way through it, it really takes the place of movies and novels. It has a presentation similar to movies but a length and depth more akin to a novel. Highly recommended.

Syberia 3 tries too hard to be a worthy new chapter in Kate Walker’s series, but it’s frustrating and disappointingly flawed.

Ten years ago no one could think Syberia would ever get a Part III. Second game nicely wrapped up the story, mammoths were found, we’ve got closure – what’s more to talk about? But for Microids the Syberia series is probably the biggest and best thing among its meager assets. So, want it or not, Kate Walker had to have another adventure. [Issue#220, p.64]

Syberia 3 feels unfinished. It is buggy and rough in almost every way. It fails to be immersive in spite of some honestly impressive world building simply because it offers too many distractions. All of this is extremely disappointing, because I really want to play more of it but I can’t force myself to finish it in its current state.

Some solid puzzles can’t rescue what is an otherwise terrible adventure game.

After few hours, I can say that this game is a surprise! Story and music are wonderful. It's the second game whose I'm not used to play that surprise me since Life is Stange.

Small bugs and frustrating controls tarnish what is otherwise an appealing adventure romp across a light fantasy setting of rural Russia.

I loved the previous two games and recently replayed them before diving into the sequel and I have to say I was deeply disappointed. The story is bland and lacks the mysteriousness and magic of the previous games. A lot of things in the story is really stupid and illogical. The cheesy villain with an eyepatch was just a cherry on the top. But what is the worst about this game is the technical design. It's still buggy and glitchy in 2021, the controls and camera are absolutely horrid - I ended up using gamepad as using a mouse was infuriating and my cursor was disappearing very often. When I got stuck in the game it was usually because I didn't find an item hidden in some corner impossible to see without the right angle of the terrible camera. Lip sync and animation of some characters looks very outdated and weird. Another thing that bothered me was the voice over of majority of characters. Everyone in Russia speaks perfect American accent and the voices usually don't match the age and look of the characters. Kate's voice over is from the original game and is still perfect. The puzzles were decent and the overall difficulty seemed to match previous games. Graphic design is really nice and it followed the strangely beautiful style of places which could have been find in the previous Syberia games. Soundtrack is probably the best part of this game. Overall I would not recommend this game to anyone as it was more painful than enjoyable.

An average story with a terrible gameplay. Billions of bugs and things that keeps you away from any satisfaction. There is no smart puzzles. Just wasting player's time with unreasonable object finding adventure. Very very boring.
SummaryThe next generation in adventure games, Syberia 3 takes you inside an enchanting, mysterious universe full of life for you to explore in 3D. Plunged into the heart of a world inhabited by a cast of interesting characters, you'll discover and experience a fabulous tale as imagined by Benoit Sokal.
