This game gets boring after about 30min. It doesn't have the depth required to keep players engaged.

Super Hexagon is an incredible creation from Terry Cavanagh, of VVVVVV fame. The game is incredible simple, your only goal being to move a triangle around a hexagonal shape while avoiding obstacles, but everything in this game is designed to perfection.

It's just so badass for a simple game that anyone who would place a AAA game over this is just missing out on so much action. Terry Cavanagh, give yourself a medal!

Got this game on sale for 59 cents. Such an addictive little game to kill a couple spare minutes. It's pretty damn hard, but when you finally beat a level it's IMMENSELY satisfying. This may be the fabled Polybius.

VERY addicting and fun. I am almost finished with all the levels. The music in this game is godlike, controls are simple (albeit sometimes a bit wonky but you'll get the hang of it) and the game is VERY difficult. YOU MUST GET THIS GAME!

Are you kidding me? This is the FIRST level? When I started playing Super Hexagon, trying to save a triangle from walls which are constantly moving in, I could not believe how hard the game is. Now, 14 hours later, I just finished the game. Prepare to die a thousand times. But still the game did not feel frustrating to me. Just very very challenging in a positive way. This is not just a game. It's a drug. Just look at the colors. It is almost hypnotizing to look at the constantly spinning screen. Two things I did not like. First, the balance between the levels could be better. Lv1&2 are ok, but Lv3 is incredibly hard. Then Lv4&5 are easy again, but Lv6 is really incredibly hardestest... Second, the global highscore list shows just the Top100. So if you are not in the Top100 (which most likely you won't), you can't see your ranking. That ****. Apart from that, it is just a fantastic arcade game. Simple. But simply great.

Frustratingly simple and addictive! this is up there with groove coaster as my favourite ios game. Its hard at first, but becomes very satisfying when you get a decent time.

Guide the tiny arrow in the centre of the screen through the ever decreasing geometric maze that approaches it. Repeat and survive. Super Hexagon redefines the "quick fix" gaming that has become synonymous with iOS games. The first thing that will strike you, aside from the Rez-like visuals and glorious Chipzel soundtrack, is that game times are short. At first you'll be elated to last five seconds, soon you'll find yourself stubbornly working your way towards thirty, then a minute, and it goes on. Your perception of time becomes warped; those first twenty seconds can feel like minutes until you find yourself trapped and defeated, immediately and instinctively opting for a restart. To dismiss Super Hexagon as too hard is to miss the point. It's one of those rare breeds where a game can really punish you whilst never being unfair; any mistake is purely down to the player. It's an unashamedly hardcore game, where the easiest setting is "hard" and works its way up to "hardest". Don't be put off, stick with it. It will click soon enough. And it's an absolute joy.

A fantastic creation from one of the greatest indie developers around (Terry Cavanagh, creator of VVVVVV). It is a profoundly simple game, but incredibly challenging to your reaction, memory, and spatial orientation skills. Your first game will probably last just a few seconds, but very quickly you will begin seeing yourself improve. Gaining mastery at such a difficult skill is intrinsically rewarding and powerfully addictive. Due to tight controls and ease of making numerous attempts the high difficulty level is never frustrating. This puts it in good company such as Super Meat Boy, The Impossible Game, and other challenging games. The game's aesthetic is pure, geometric, and colorful, with stunning results. Given that individual games can last under a minute, it's also the perfect game for the mobile medium. It's an instant classic that you should purchase immediately.

I guess i missed something according to the hyped score here on metacritic. games that are frustrating to play dont always mean a bad game . A lot of the time you get enjoyment of achieving something after being bogged down. In this case the gameplay is very limited in turning the hexagon around and after having my game end in 10 seconds a couple of times had enough.
