I think it's pretty hard to complain now, the game is polished, and this version comes with most of the dlc. The story mode is a bit boring but the combos and controls are great

When Street Fighter V first launched in 2016, it was undeniably rough around the edges—barebones content, server issues, and a lack of single-player depth left fans disappointed. But to judge Champion Edition by its launch state is not only unfair, it’s flat-out misleading. This version is the culmination of years of refinement, content expansion, and community-driven evolution. Capcom didn’t just patch the holes—they rebuilt the ship.Champion Edition delivers a massive roster of 40 characters, each with unique mechanics and playstyles that cater to both newcomers and veterans. From classics like Ryu and Chun-Li to newcomers like Lucia and G, the variety is staggering. The game also includes over 200 costumes and 34 stages, making it the most content-rich version of SFV to date.Mechanically, the game shines. The V-System adds layers of strategy, allowing players to customize their approach mid-match. The balance updates over the years have created a competitive environment that’s both dynamic and fair. Online play is smoother, and the inclusion of rollback netcode has made matches more reliable than ****, let’s address the elephant in the room: the claim that Street Fighter V is “stuck in 2016.” That’s simply false. This narrative usually comes from people who either haven’t played the game since launch or are clinging to outdated criticisms and make ignorant masses. Champion Edition is a different beast—polished, expansive, and deeply engaging. It’s like judging a movie by its trailer and ignoring the final cut.Capcom’s commitment to the community is evident. Regular updates, character reworks, and seasonal content have kept the game fresh. The inclusion of a robust training mode, story content, and arcade ladders shows that they listened to feedback and acted on **** short, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is not just a redemption—it’s a celebration of what makes fighting games great. It’s proof that developers can learn, adapt, and deliver a product that honors its legacy while embracing modern sensibilities.

As a big fan of Street Fighter Alpha, this game was pretty alright. Sure the game's had its fair share of bad reviews, but I liked it. The character variety was perfect, and each one made me want to use them again at some point (apart from Abigail). The story however, was pitiful. For them hyping Necalli up so much to be a major threat, he appears for like 1 chapter and gets slammed by ryu. None of the rest was interesting at all. Bad story, fun fighting game.

Street Fighter V has had a long and crazy journey, but it's great knowing that it's ending its third round on top.

Demo version of the game for full price! Very greedy company. And where are my previous reviews of this game? This is a question for the site owners.

Really did not like this game. Here is why
- weird and uninteresting story (dlc download to even get it)
- hard to learn even with practice - crazy difficulty spikes in the story
- over sexualized characters everywhere.
- constant adds and store pop ups. The fighting was fun though. Skip this game or get it on a mega sale.

Another failed business ruining games with mediocre content to put normal features behind a massive paywall. All the beloved characters are in different expensive seasons and then you're paying an extreme amount for a handful of characters glad i got it for free with ps plus and IMMEDIATELY DELETED IT.

It only needs to have the launcher for the dlc one the disc not a voucher code to be best version. So this version is only a base game with voucher code.

A good ending to a game that started badly, SFV had a horrible release but it was improving little by little and bringing the content that was so much needed at the beginning. -9,0/10,0-

Not a fan of 2D fighting games but Street Fighter V's gameplay impressed me to some extent. The game feels very floaty in a good way, the controls are simple and the combos are quite easy to do. Most of the characters look pretty cool even though some of them are over-the-top muscular, but I don't mind that, it gives the game a unique art-style. As for the story mode, it's just painfully average and generic, not worth playing through. What killed my fun with the game is the lack of gamemodes.
If you're playing for the single player content, then there's almost nothing exciting to do. It's obvious that this game is mostly focused on the online multiplayer mode which is fun, but if you're a newcomer, then this game is not for you. Lastly, there are too many DLC characters, which is unfortunate. Final Rating: "Decent" ~ 6/10.

This game took everything great about Street Fighter IV and completely ruined it. It's boring to play and boring to watch. Your combos need to be executed within 3 frames so they may as well be frame perfect. Absolute dog turd of a Street Fighter game.

Instead of the DLC coming with the game, like other special editions, this game has you put in a code which **** if you're borrowing the game, and the download takes 1 HOUR!!! Capcom messed up this special edition, which without the code, makes the game the same as the regular game. Worst street fighter game ever!!!

Online game is absolute garbage. Some characters are poorly designed. Gamepley feels either overly aggressive or overly defensive. Actual offline game is 5/10.

I enjoyed my time with this game, but it's not really for me. The story is very bad, gameplay is good, and the character roster is fine.

The game looks ugly but plays great. Online netplay is a hit or miss depending on the player. This version of the game is the best you can buy. A tone of characters for a very good price.

I love Street Fighter but Capcom's greed has made this game a total joke. It gets worse with each release. I just want to buy a complete package on disc and not be slowly bled dry for extra money. The only way I'll play another Street Fighter game is with friends in the same room with a pirated version with everything unlocked. Enough with the greed, Capcom. You've destroyed your games.

This game is a scam, all the content is blocked and you have to unlock it using "fight money". Which you get by playing ranked, and earn 250 per victory. And guess what, each character costs 100,000 fight money, meaning you have to win 400 ranked matches to get the money to buy 1 character. Besides, Capcom Fighting Network is complete trash and you barely get any matches during peak times. This is the last time i support capcom.

I feel scammed. I bout base SF. Price was not too high, but game felt like demo. Very few characters and stages. Finally I decided to buy upgrade to Champion Edition. That did not unlock all stages. Today I found that the new season is on the way so I don't have access to new characters. They want me to buy season pass. I already bought this terrible game two times! That's the last time they saw my money. I'm never gonna pay for anything related to street fighter.

Full of microtransactions and barely any content in the main game. Also why are all the women all swollen and weird-looking and look like they're being attacked by a killer bees or something full stop the game looks off honestly Street Fighter 4 lost better. Low res textures everywhere and a low polygon count

This game is awful. Just to start the game for the first time you get attacked by at least 50 pop up information. When you finally start playing you recognize the awful graphics and that you only can play with 16 characters and more than 20 are locked in dlc. Why is this called the champion edition? Stay away from this game, unistalled it the same evening.

This game is the ****.
The artwork is stupid, paywall, awful update system. Going from sf4 (whatever version) to sf5 feels like steps backwards off a cliff.
Capcom has done one thing right, they got our money.

STREET FIGHTER V: CHAMPION EDITION dichotomizes stereotypical conceptions of fight games through its fluid identification of the viewer.

If this is your first time wanting SFV, then now if your time to jump in. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition brings all content in one package, immediately and with no delays. Street Fighter V has come a long way and even if it's not perfect and satisfying for many, it's definitely the one to go for over Vanilla and Arcade Edition. Allowing crossplay with PC is a nice bonus along with the hundreds of costumes, hours of offline content and of course all the fighters ready to fight.

What a scam, it's the original version of street fighter 5 on disc, with a stupid DLC code. Too cheap to even reprint the disc with all the content on it. Disgraceful.

The new content is a DLC code! The disc is the base 2016 game! Don't buy that!

Anyone who says this is the base game with download codes to download the rest are wrong. All the DLC and all content are on the disc, the game comes with 2 keys physically, to unlock the content already on the disc, which will unlock when you update the game. The game in general is fantastic, but this practice drives down peoples reviews and general views on the game, but do not let anyone tell you this is a bad game, it just **** that the can't really be played offline.

Nice way for Capcom to make customers pay three times (SFV vanilla, SFV Arcade Edition, then SFV Championship Edition) for a game that has in reality been in development for the past four years, since what looked like an alpha version release in 2016. Sure, you didn't "really" need to pay three times... that is, IF you wanna dedicate your entire life grinding 100K Fight Money for one character... with 50FM per win (i.e. you need 2000 wins to earn one additional character). In short, this Street Fighter title is a grind fest, an endless DLC dungeon, replete with explicit "GIMME YOUR MONEY" nudges. With SFV, Capcom has offered a strong contribution to the development of what is becoming the modern standard for "esports" games. In other words, sacrificing originality and authenticity for profitability and marketing. Online experience is among the worst on the market.

The complete edition **** fighting game, the latest game of one of the most iconic and popular series in the world. Simply amazing.

It's not the champion edition on disk, it is the game base with a key to access champion edition. If you lend it to a friend, all content will be blocked.

Maybe the best 1vs1 fighting game ever made. I've been playing fighting games since I was a child with Street Fighter II in the Sega Genesis, and I think SFV CE has finally reached the best combination ever of great mechanics, cool characters, cast balance and fun.

It is very annoying to get a DLC code instead of a disc with all the content on it.

What a fantastic turn around this game has made. From an incredibly mediocre and messy release, Street Fighter 5 has transformed over time into a game that is worthy of the franchise name. This release is perfect for people wanting to jump in and have access to everything the game has to offer and still has more free improvements to come, such as a netcode fix and a tournament mode in the near future. This is absolutely the best SFV has ever been.

Street Fighter has never been better than this game right here and now! Best value for your money.
