Innovations in State of Decay 2 don´t solve any problems, but rather add some more. The game unnecessarily forces on its multiplayer and feels very impersonal. [Issue#287]

State of Decay 2 is going to be very hit and miss for a number of people. If you can ignore the flaws, there is a fun game to be had when played with a friend. That said, even if you ignore its flaws, you can’t deny that this game was not ready for release.

Generally State of Decay 2 looks more like a remaster of the original game than a true sequel. It just does not expand the formula enough and still contains too many repetitive activities that make you go through the motions for the sake of getting it done. That’s why I recommend playing it in short sessions. I have no doubt that people unfamiliar with the first State of Decay will enjoy the second one much more, as everything will be new to them. I can see given the reviews, a lot of people haven't really played the game. State of decay 2 is a great sandbox zombie experience, between the base building, map customization, array of weapons and items, community loot and survivors that you can call in at anytime, all the input they took from fans over the years it truly is a labor of love. They delivered on everything they promised for a sequel and then some. My only gripe was with multiplayer, hopefully that is fixed for 3. Overall an incredible game, with a fun story, quirky characters, and a great game in the survival zombie genre. This review was written by a game, to other gamers, not paid.

They had a golden concept with the first State of Decay for a while, obviously by accident. Zombie open world, looting, base building, some rpg elements, freedom. Unfortunately in time instead of going towards a fully customizable sandbox, they went the opposite way. The second being the absolute proof. There is even less freedom than in the first, bases never let you build what you want, there are less lootable buildings, rpg progression is even less controllable, and on top of that the player is constantly, horribly spammed and distracted with timed shinies to do. Overall making it a cr@ppy gaming experience. Imho to be played only on PC with mods giving some real freedom

Well..i dunno how this game is rated 5 or 6. The plot and story is a bit **** even if sometimes could be a lottle **** a good mix of GTA,RE and also a **** loving **** really cool.
I mean, i started 1 week **** i cant stop playing it. Bad models and some glitches in fighting, and a story not so much plain and **** the rest it shines in the **** almost neverending like a Diablo game or **** of things to do when you start..tons of side mission, special events. Fun! Simple Fun..
Others can **** this game is a 7 or 8...going under a 7 scoring this game imho is a suicide Where it lacks? No storyline at all, some annoying glitch and bug,a bit repeative
There is always space to improve It needs some linearity and a ****..

Story, voice work, and animations are all still goofy, but throw in co-op multiplayer, better endgame content, and more reasons to replay it, and State of Decay 2 is the type of game with which certain players will fall in love. There's always something to do and in a classically sim style, it's hard to know when to stop. It's the most realistic zombie apocalypse simulation in the world and that's a beautiful thing.

While it doesn’t have the irreverent humor of Dead Rising or the swiftness in movement like Dying Light, what State of Decay 2 offers is the pull that will have you saying, “Oooh, what’s in there?” every time you walk down a neighborhood cluttered with burnt-out cars and piles of dead bodies.

Al menos para mi, es uno de los mejores juegos de su rublo, no hay ningun otro juego que pueda darme el mismo sentimiento de estar sobreviviendo a un apocalipsis, junto con su personalizacion avanzada proporciona una experiencia muy buena para todos

Deeper than the first installment, State of Decay 2 improves several features and adds a deeper management system with an enormous map to explore and an interesting cooperative online system, though it still has several technical issues.

State of Decay 2 is a nice game and it looks good, but it has a considerable amount of errors that take away much of its brightness. It is nice that the events that happen within your game are a consequence of the actions of each player, given that feeling that each of their actions is unrepeatable. Spending most of the game looking for resources in coolers, kitchens, farms and other places, is annoying and saps much of the fun that can be as the game becomes a slow and repetitive activity.

Due to its numerous technical issues and underwhelming gameplay, it’s difficult to give State of Decay 2 a wide recommendation.

State of Decay 2 isn't a failure, it’s a disappointment. Despite some good ideas, the game kind of looks like a copy/paste of the previous game on many points, loaded with glitches and poorly tuned mechanics.

State of Decay 2 feels more like a buggy expansion of the original game than a proper sequel.

Mas de 500 horas jugadas, muy adictivo y gran gameplay, las actualizaciones que han ido metiendo le dan cada vez mas vida al juego. Esperando con ansias el 3ro!

Fun zombie game with a mediocre story and main objective. The best part about this game was looting the various buildings and finding really cools items such as random guns. Finding other characters to recruit or help was also quite fun. The zombies were threatening but there aren't too many types so it can make it a bit repetitive. I did not like the fact that you had to start over after beating the game. Trying to resupply your base with food got very tedious as you have to walk all the way in your base. It would have been better if other characters you recruited did it for you automatically but had a chance of dying. Overall fun zombie game and some of the best moments were looting places at night.

The first game is much better because it knows what it is. SOD2 is trying to do far too much to the point that it ruins the experience they were trying to provide. State of Decay is a community survival game, much like how The Walking Dead series is - however the game is constantly bogging you down with timed quests, infestations, traders/bounties, curveballs (the most unnecessary addition to the game), and more. Instead of the immersive experience of looting towns, building up your base/outposts, and upgrading your survivors, the game is constantly trying to distract you with countless busywork missions. All of these messy systems also makes the game run quite poorly, and I have freezes and crashes every time I play the game. I hope SOD3 returns to why people enjoyed the series in the first place.

There is a brief moment while learning the game that it fun. But it quickly becomes a chore, where you want to do one thing but are being **** to do 5 other thing on top of deal with a feral and **** game has a somewhat fun game play loop ,just like the first game. Only problem is they failed at everything else, just like the first game, even a few more things.
Graphics are not his gen at all, the world is empty and dull and visuals are just not impressive for this gen, if it looked last gen but ran at 60FPS it would be fine, but nope its a 30fps game. The games has less bugs than the first, less, the first game was literally unplayable with bugs, so yeah there is less.
One of the most annoying thing is the characters. SOD1 had actually interesting characters, there was some attractive girls as you would want in your end on the world zombie fantasy and many side stories and charters you ended up interested even caring about.
The Character in SOD2 are just crazy bland, there stories are the most uninteresting bunk you could imagine, find tools and record players, crap like that. And most imitating more offensively is they have clearly gone with "Averting of the Male Gaze" thing woke developers love these days. Making every female character just plain ugly and completely unappealing, so as not to appeal MEN!! MEN the main supporters and consumers of their product, they set out to not appeal to them!!!! Many men in the game are very attractive, so they know how to model and make faces, just decided their male fan should only get uggos in their survivor fantasy.
Overall the game is a hard pass, there a few interesting hours at the start as you learn the game, but then quickly become a chore as the whiney ugly woman contact every 30 secs to demand something.
