its kinda meh. very clunky but was a great foundation for something big....

8.9/10. Definitely a classic. I had a lot of fun playing solo but it really shined when I played split-screen with friends. And for some reason the loading screen where it would zoom into the planet you're about to play on was super satisfying haha.

Siendo objetivo sin dejarme llevar por la nostalgia, puedo confirmar que este juego esta sobrevalorado y con notas muy infladas. Para empezar es un juego cargado de BUGS, enemigos y vehículos que aparecen de la nada continuamente, el sistema de daños es absurdo, da igual lo bueno que seas, en ocasiones la IA de la consola se vuelve implacable y puedes recibir disparos de los sitios mas inhóspitos frustrando en todo momento la jugabilidad. El control de los vehículos en algunos esta muy conseguido, y sin embargo en otros es completamente desesperante. Se echa en falta un modo historia, y las cinemáticas dobladas al castellano. Sino fuera por estos detalles el juego seria una obra maestra, pero lo mas importante que es la jugabilidad y la IA es caótica y penosa. Pero no todo es malo en el juego, tiene los mejores gráficos y ambientación que puedas encontrar sobre el universo STAR WARS, y la OST original de las películas, pero bajo mi punto de vista los puntos negativos hacen que este juego quede a medio camino.

Game-play for Star Wars: Battlefront, although not quite as polished as I’d like to see it, is a gaming experience that is rivaled by few in its genre, especially when it comes to Xbox Live. There is just so much to do in this game, it’s hard to know where to start.

Although it isn't without some problems, Battlefront is easily one of the most fully realized, enjoyable Star Wars games we've ever played.

This game was great for its time, it made the right multiplayer modes, and had some extra fun features that some games would do today (A.K..A Star wars from EA)

It's a truly beautiful game, too, spanning from the lush forest of Ewok-infested Endor the to the Tatooine desert (complete with hostile Tusken Raiders.) And it's just plain cool to see Darth Vader walking around kicking ass. [Nov 2004, p.124]

If you look beyond the Star Wars trappings, however, what you're left with is a game that's not quite as good as it really should be, which is a pity.

With the amazingly rich heritage that Star Wars has, it's confusing that the music isn't used quite as effectively as it should. Without the context-sensitive moments of the cinematic Star Wars the impact is lost, replenishing health to the dramatic rumblings of the Imperial Death March doesn't really do it and sometimes the music just disappears.

I don't actually own this game, but my friend does, and may I just say, it is awesome! Even when you're not playing the game properly and are just messing around the battlefield, this game is fun. The maps are amazing and so nostalgic, and the roster of characters is satisfying. This has to be one of the best Star Wars games ever!
