Not only are the voices horrible, as is the case for most Sonic games, but the story makes very little sense. It’s like if you took any basic Nintendo story like Mario saving the Princess, lengthened it to several hours long, and filled it with mindless details that make no logical sense at all.

Atrocious camera angles lead to cheap deaths, the slippery controls make it difficult to get a handle on the characters and the game has a large problem with pacing. It tries to mix in side missions with general stages, and the disastrous results ruin the game.

I didn't realize how rough Sonic 2006 actually is. After 2 hours, I get why critics hated it. The controls are bad, the frame rate struggles a bit, and the story is a muddy mess. There are a few cool ideas buried in here, but overall this is more frustrating than fun.

You simply can't ask for more out of an action game. Mission accomplished. Sonic is born anew. [Dec 2006; Score revised in Jan issue due to long load times.]

Next-gen Sonic is awkward, dogged by awful levels and a terrible hub system, plus the basic action never gets that challenging. When you die, it’s because you couldn’t see, or you fell off by accident. It's hugely frustrating.

2nd best sonic game Yes i know “10/10 For sonic 06 Are you Nuts?” But this is my review not other peoples review so dont hate on me, Now lets actually review the game The level design is chefs kiss The story Is INCREDIBLE The soundtrack is the best soundtrack ever and dont get me started on the playable characters Sure Silver is tedious sometime but i think for the most part hes fun i like tails knuckles shadow rouge and blazes controls, combat and moves and that atmosphere man, its just sooo good i love this game soooooo much, Also the graphics are STILL Amazing almost 19 years later

You may enjoy it occasionally if you love sonic and have had experience with the other sonic games with this genre like I have but overall this game isn't the best, but also isn't the worst in my opinion. The huge sense of completion after finishing all stories really made this game worth the completion. (Just dont take the story seriously its not great)

The game is not that ass really but it really has its moments. Sonic is the best and BROKEN with the gems like the red purple and blue. Silver really **** and i hate his gameplay but amy and blaze are a bit cool. but amy is ass. Tails is FAST in the air ... then drops like a rock. Knuckles is VERY terrible and rouge is better and omega i hadn't play with him yet but i might edit and say later. The Mach Speed Sections are the best but a bit bad and crisis city funny because you can Push the tornado away and maybe crisis city or Kingdom Valley is better but this game is Good overall and doesn't deserve alot of hate and im pissed my 360 sorta broke down
