Another great remastering of an already-great title. There isn’t too much new here, but it looks lovely and minor quality of life improvements make the difference. If you haven’t got the original then this is one to pick up and if you have it’s still worth it to play it at its best.

Skunkape has really delivered on the goods here, folks. They've taken one of the best modern adventure games and updated it to something far beyond its former glory. [Issue #58 – March/April 2022, p. 23]

Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space returns as a remaster of the original game and not only it keeps the best elements intact, it enhances them and delivers a game that's hilarious, gorgeous looking, and with a flexible level of challenge for everyone. With the added advantage of being able to play anywhere, this remaster runs smoothly whether on a television screen or on the go, and it further contributes to make this a marvelous update of the original game.

Very similar to the previous one game with chaotic plot twists and pretty hard puzzles.

Short and simple I love everything about this game I love the humor so much Sam and Max are such an iconic duo

Oh, Sam & Max, I simply can’t resist your weirdo humor, references, and charm. Once again the dysfunctional duo have been unleashed on the Switch to do what they do best: rapid-fire tell jokes about everything and everyone in sight (not all of them hit, but I’ll give them credit for a strong batting average nonetheless), make trouble, and consistently deliver new unexpected scenarios and weirdness. Moreso than even their last set of adventures on Switch the five chapters included here, opening with a confrontation with an unruly Santa mind you, change things up and put them in scenarios ripe with potential for silliness and their trademark hijinks. Certainly there are times where the controls aren’t as ideal using a controller as they would have been with a mouse, and there are puzzles that may involve some funky logic, but the enjoyment is really all about the ride and the tremendously funny dialogue along the way. If you’re in need **** laugh and don’t mind checking everything in a room just to see what dialogue it may prompt this is a title that will reward your diligence consistently and with a fair amount of amusement. ****/2021/12/mini-reviews-december-8th-edition.html

Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space may be the low point of the trilogy, but it’s still a laugh out loud game everyone should find entertaining. The remastered visuals are gorgeous, the soundtrack is incredible, and most of the puzzles are fun to solve.

Overall, Beyond Time and Space raises the bar in the way a sequel should, and the quality of the remastering is solid. Players who enjoyed Sam & Max Save the World should absolutely pick this one up — And who knows, maybe there’s another one in our future?

The Sam & Max adventure games are always a treat to play through, and Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space is no exception. Skunkape Games has done a fantastic job spiffing this one up for the modern age, and if you told me this was a completely new release I would probably believe you. The Devil’s Playhouse is likely next, and I am certainly looking forward to it. For now, I’ll happily enjoy this wonderful remaster of a funny, enjoyable romp.

It's tricky to review games like this, especially re-releases where many will already know if they want it. The Telltale formula hadn't been scaled back to "interactive cinema" yet, so you're dealing with clunky puzzles and somewhat clunky delivery of clunky comedy, but you might love it. In a sense, each to their own. As a port it's difficult to fault, but as a game it's really no great shakes. But then again, if you dig that lagomorph, it doesn't need to be.

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space is an OK release overall. This 20-or-so-hour adventure has an admirable quantity of content, but the quality amongst the individual episodes is inconsistent. I found only two of the five to be the sort I’d want to replay. Still, Sam & Max are great characters. Pick up their earlier adventure, Sam & Max Save the World, to get an idea if this one is for you.

Very similar to the previous one game with chaotic plot twists and pretty hard puzzles.
Summary The Freelance Police are back on the crime beat in a newly remastered version of their second episodic season. Zombies will dance. Mariachis will sing. A giant battle robot will trash the streets. And when their friends’ lives are at stake, Sam & Max will risk their very souls to set things right.
