Despite the similarities, Ride 2 is not as user friendly as Microsoft’s annual racing games. This means players are going to have to really work to ride with the best, and that’s an uphill battle they may not want to fight on your recreational time.

For people such as myself who fall in the middle, the title acts as a nice distraction to pick up and play everyone once in awhile. The racing element is bogged down with all the minutiae and it’s hard to get really into everything without becoming frustrated. Too much detail in the wrong area can cause even the nicest ride to become bumpy and unpleasant.

On paper, then, Ride 2 is an exciting proposition that bundles the promises of aspirational game design with the raw power and fun associated with motorbikes. Unfortunately, those promises are broken and the resulting game falls flat. Unless you're so enamoured with two-wheeled machines that you simply can't help but pick yourself up a copy, you should wait for a new contender to try its hand at delivering a biking game of this scope.

Why doesn't this developer make more games with arcade gameplay like Ride 2008? These bums think that there are no people who like motorcycles and like arcade gameplay.

Very good game, best game about moto racing. It has a team mode that brings something new to be more enjoyable. I recomend 100%.

Ride 2 is a great game, the old reviews you find on the web are really unfair. My guess is that perhaps things got fixed since release. The reviews should have been updated. I currently own about 25 bikes, they all feel different. I'm not at all an expert in racing, I only have a controller and mostly played arcade racing (mini)games before. Yet I have a lot of fun with this title. I do keep most assists on so far, it's the kind of riding that I want. With that, the racing is a lot of fun; nothing beats carefully crashing other bikers to take the lead :D I have tons of gold medals, played over 100 races and still coming back. Money is a bit slow to come; the bikes are expensive to buy and to upgrade. But that's why you have these invitational events every 8 races, where you are offered four times the usual credits plus a free bike. So I'd say progression is well balanced. There are still tons of content to explore, I haven't tested these R1 bikes yet. I can tell you though that super fast bikes are a lot more difficult to handle than average ones, as expected. The game encourages you to explore different kinds of bikes all the time by putting limits on the maximum pp in races. So no bike is ever obsolete. As a negative point, I'd say the game doesn't encourage you to take risks by removing assists and increasing the difficulty. Indeed, the game only rewards you with a very tiny bonus for a significantly harder experience. It would have been more exciting to give greater rewards for brave riders. Another negative point is the existence of a booster pack you can buy with real money. Unless you are a hardcore fan of motorcycles, I recommend you buy the standard edition, it's cheaper and already has more bikes than you'll ever manage to buy.

Ride 2 has the ambition to appeal to as wide audience of motorbike fans as possible, so it offers loads of contents (tracks, bikes, competitions) and is very flexible in terms of customizing your experience. It’s the best bike racing game of this generation. [13/2016, p.62]

Better than its predecessor in almost every way, though long loading times and dated graphics still keep the game from reaching top marks.

Ride 2 has much more content in every possible aspect. However, Milestone has forgotten that the sequels are also to correct and bring something new.

Ride 2 is the classic “more of the same” title, adding more tracks and more bikes to the previous game of the series, but failing to correct all its serious flaws. A nice game for people who loves bikes and never had the chance to play the first Ride, but surely not a must have masterpiece in racing games history.

If you are a fan of motorbikes and want to experience the speed and rush from two-wheel-motorsport you have to be aware of two things. 1) You won’t be able to get by Milestone, who basically has an iron grip on the genre. 2) You get plenty of content and outdated visuals.

Man i really enjoying this game, a lot of bikes and tracks, accesible physics but not to the point to be boring, the sounds of the bikes is fantastic. Maybe the graphics is the only meh aspect but at the end of the day the game is solid.

É um jogo legal, mas para pegar numa boa promoção, não é o tipo de jogo que eu costumo jogar, mas acabei me divertindo.

The whole purpose of what I’ve been doing the last couple of years is to find new games genres and franchises that I like. Unfortunately for every new discovered Genre that you like, there are going to be some Genre that you don’t like. I don’t think I like racing games. I enjoy playing Mario Kart with friends but racing against AI or maybe people online. It’s just not fun for me. I don’t know if this is a good racing game, all I do know is that I found it to be very boring. I’m glad that I found out early this year that I’m not into racing games so I know to stop buying/renting them. There is not much more I can say about this game, it was extremely boring and I don’t want to play any more racing games (other than the occasional cart racer).

That's right. You buy the game with the promise of free expansions titled "add bikes to your garage". That simple. What do you think it is? Free bikes, I supposed. When you start to play, the deceived player realise that he has only "the right to buy the bikes", hgh priced. No matter the good graphics and/or the gameplay. Can't give a minimum rate to this game.
