Re3 manages to do what no classic game before or after does, perfectly captures the vibe of a city at the dead center of an apocalypse. The chaos of it all is represented through restrictive corridors, somewhat random item locations, and Nemesis. The best stalker in the series is unbeat in the way he terrorizes the player, and is a force of nature that truly takes away all comfortability a player might have.

The last good classic resident evil title before capcom decides they want to go full action movie. Although on this game we already could see that capcom wanted to go more actionny but reatrained by the limitation of the system. Regardless this game has graphic on its time. Gameplay that is so interesting with evasion mechanics, and choosing branches of decision that gonna change where nemesis might shows up and also trigger some different scene altogether. Things that gone from the remake shamefully. Nemesis here is also a challenge with rewards. Epilogues and costumes collection make strong indication that game has replay value and dont forget of the great mercenary mode.

This game may be not as relevant as RE2 storywise, may be shorter (really it is?), but dude, NEMESIS. Such a brilliant example of a chaser as early as 2000. No such threating pressence in RE franchise at least after RE7, 17 years later. The FMV scenes, peak PS1. The gameplay improvements, autoaim, vibration, quick turn, dodge... Of course it is more action-oriented than RE2, but still you can feel the need of saving bullets (at least in Hard difficulty which should be named Normal). Decissions system, RNG system, a few endings, mercenaries mode... Most people consider RE2 the superior but for me, RE3 is my favorite game of the PS1 trilogy, I spent hours and hours playing this game, managed to end the entire game twice on the same day and still wanted more STAAAAARS!

Major disappointment after RE2. RE3: Nemesis is extremely short. My first playthrough of the game (which I recently completed) took me 7 hrs, and that’s without having A and B missions, like RE2 had. With RE2, you had 4 campaigns to complete (around 25 hours of gameplay, in total) in order to beat the game. Each one having different paths you take, with new locations, a few new enemy types, different weapons and items and, above all, a bunch more story content. You actually need to beat all 4 campaigns (each being different enough to feel fun and interesting) in order to get the full story of the game. With RE3, you get a single 7 hr (or so) playthrough, that your average player will finish in 2-3 sittings. On top of that, there’s significantly more backtracking in RE3, and every time the Nemesis shows up, it’s the exact same situation. It says “Stars…” like a brain dead robot, then proceeds to lazily shoot its rocket launcher at you (slow enough that there’s no challenge in escaping it), forcing you to run away. This happens over and over and over (and over), and it’s the exact same boring, tedious, task, every single time. It’s similar to how RE2 Remake botched the Tyrant, dumbing him down to a cyclical, repetitive, robotic, annoyance, instead of using truly frightening, thoughtfully placed, events. (It’s just a way to make games in a cheaper way.) One thing RE3 has going for it is good graphics. It’s graphics being ever so slightly better than RE2’s, which already had fantastic graphics for the PS1 era, and they really showcase what the PS1 was capable of. Overall, I’m very disappointed in RE3: Nemesis. I beat RE2 directly before jumping into RE3 (and gave it an 9/10) and it was apparent, from the very beginning, that not as much time or thought was put into RE3. The story was much more cartoonish and over the top than RE2 (which is saying a lot), the pacing of the game felt rushed and less well thought out, the characters were not as well written or established, and even the soundtrack for RE3 was vastly inferior to RE2.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is my favorite Resident Evil game that utilizes the series' original gameplay and presentation. Nemesis remains the series' best villain.

Relentless Survival Horror Pursuit Resident Evil 3: Nemesis ramps up the terror as Jill Valentine battles through zombie-ravaged Raccoon City, pursued by the unstoppable Nemesis who smashes walls and growls "S.T.A.R.S.!" in iconic, heart-stopping chases. Fixed-camera dread amplifies every groan and footstep, blending lighter puzzles with visceral combat via handguns, shotguns, magnums, grenade launchers, and rocket launchers; Carlos Oliveira's hospital sections add flamethrower-fueled variety. Pre-rendered backdrops and real-time models pop in HD remasters, paired with a haunting soundtrack and stellar voice acting for immersive solo horror across branching paths and multiple Nemesis showdowns with live-or-die choices. Tank controls and backtracking feel dated, and it's shorter than RE2, but the raw tension endures.

It is a masterpiece and an unforgettable game. This is a horror, thriller, crime, action and of course survival horror game at the same time. What can I say about this one! All I'm saying is that I'm playing this game almost 22 years since I was a kid and you never tired of this game. My all time favorite

"Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" is very good. In fact, it's arguably better than the first game. But it does feel like an action-oriented expansion to RE 2. The pace is faster and there is more combat than in previous entries. But the moments when the Nemesis appears are truly intense. While not quite a masterpiece, RE 3 is still one of the best games in the series. I would rate it with a 9.1 out of 10.

A little more action than Re2 but still a very fun game, and sometimes the Nemesis would freaking scare me out of nowhere.

Still the best Resident Evil game next to RE1 Remake, in my opinion. A true classic with an iconic protagonist (Jill) and a terrifying antagonist (Nemesis). Exploring the streets of Raccoon City in fixed camera is amazing. The OG RE trilogy just got better with each game. Even though the new fans may consider the game's graphics and its controls dated, it's a must-play for any true RE fans. If you can get your hands on it. If only Capcom would port it to newer consoles. Luckily for PC gamers, it's available though.

In many ways Resident Evil 3 feels more like a glorified expansion to Resident Evil 2 than a full-fledge sequel, though its core gameplay is a strong as ever. Despite its shorter playtime and single campaign, RE3 still features a ton of replay value with RNG dependent puzzles and enemies, and the encounters with it titular stalker monster, Nemesis, steal the show.

Pretty good, i remember it fondly. A classic. I still think this game is just way too hard for unskilled players like me, but i had so much fun trying to beat it as a teen.

Vote: 7.5. Like the remake, i highly enjoyed Re2 and the original more. It wasn't bad but it's kinda lacking comparing to the next and previous titles

Another atmospheric zombie-blasting adventure with all of the strengths and weaknesses of the previous games. The camera angles can still be awkward (especially when battling the hard-as-nails Nemesis) but the graphics, cut scenes and voice acting are streets ahead of those of the original game. A little old fashioned by today's standards but it's a treat for the nostalgic horror fan.

This was my first RE back on PS1 era. I feel it shorter than i remember and some mechanics have not aged well, also the dialogues feels kind of dumb, i guess i never pay attention to that as a kid. But they nail it with Nemesis, it's a lot scarier than the the new one from the Remake (which i can tell now miss quite some thing from this) Still my favorite RE from original trilogy.

As a story, I think it's not as impressive as 1 and 2. But the variety of characters is good. There is a large map, but what we can do is limited. I personally like the level design of 1 and 2 more. RE3 More of an action game. More enemies. There are too many bullets. One of the best parts of the game compared to 1 and 2 is the tension. Nemesis is probably a villain that went down in game history. It's really scary. And that music... There are also various options when deciding. This adds replayability to the game. This is a very good development.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis caps off the original RE trilogy amazingly. Raccoon City feels like a mini open world in this game. The Nemesis encounters are awesome and the choice system adds a good bit of replay value. The Mercenaries mode is also a fun addition that can boost your time played.

Survival horrors are probably my favorite games of all time: they possess both fantastic masterfully precise gameplay and outstanding groundbreaking plot. However, I personally value the last more than the first, so I would choose Silent Hill over Resident Evil anytime... ...Or at least I thought so until today. Even being 23 years old, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis holds unbelievably good even nowadays: it presents a perfect cocktail, featuring classic RE gameplay but with fastened pace, so it makes the game more dynamic and challenging; graphics are worse than those in Silent Hill, but still quite decent and stylish; camera angles, sound and game design make for an immersive experience, which naturally thrills your blood. Nemesis is a perfect video game foe as well - he's creepy, tough, unpredictable and fast. Moreover, you can never guess which second he appears - and he keeps appearing no matter how many times you kill him. Furthermore, he follows you either until you reach a safe place or until your death (more likely) Puzzles are sadly not as tricky as I was promised. Nevertheless they are almost perfectly set: they aren't particularly hard, but it takes a while to figure out hat to do and how to do. Every riddle is unique and brings tons of fun. I'm not quite sure if RE3 is better than RE4 subjectively. However, I have no choice but to accept my lust for classic survival horrors and give Nemesis 10/10, being my favorite game in the series. If you haven't played this game yet, you definitely must give it a chance. Despite ancient graphics and clunky gameplay, it's still one of the best games in its genre. Peace.
