Reed Remastered
Reed Remastered is one of the many hardcore platformers out there giving you slick controls to get through ‘hard-as-nails’ levels. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have that many stages, and you’ll get to the end before it really sticks with you.
Reed Remastered is a platformer built around a large number of short levels which can attract players with their minimalist but interesting pixel art style, and a potential to be played along short, fun spells. The game turns out less appealing when it comes to its exaggerated repetitiveness, an incoherent difficulty level where some areas seem to be artificially difficult and an overall short lifespan.
Reed Remastered doesn’t do much of anything to leave a positive impression. Platformers (even one-hit-kill ones like this) are a dime a dozen on the Nintendo Switch. How does this one hope to stand out with the multiple ways it comes up short? I was hoping for better; I didn’t have fun playing it.
