-1 point: Bugs and bugs. Otherwise, this is a perfect trilogy with amazing games.

Sadly a port of 3 awesome games that didn’t had much time in the oven. The bugs and errors are noticeable and can hurt the experience. Either way the ps3 finally has these classic tales playable.

Ratchet and clank 1: 8/10 What made it unique for its time, is the character development that ratchet got. Initially having bad blood with clank, but over the course of the game, they develop a brotherly bond which shows the great lengths they went through to finally change. Shooting mechanics were not intuitive yet and the strafe of the later games wasn't implemented, so gameplayer was weaker compared to its future games, but at least the story was memorable and compelling. ratchet and clank 2: 9/10 Loved this game for the brotherly bond of the 2 now in motion in non stop adventures on different planets, improved mechanics like strafe being implemented for fast paced action(flips and tricks). New weaponry which had a levelling system. The first time the insomniac museum was introduced (felt adventurous). Story was initially set around another lumbax being alive, but the game subverts our expectations, and we find that qwark wants revenge for what happened in rac 1. ratchet and clank 3: 8.5/10 New weaponry, added minigames(quark game), ship and armoury customisation. Summary: Ratchet & Clank, a beloved franchise that truly made its mark with its phenomenal graphics that were ahead of its time. The vibrant and imaginative worlds, along with the intricate character designs, were truly a treat for gamers of its era and now. The mechanics of the game are also something to note. Ratchet & Clank introduced innovative gameplay elements that have left a lasting impression on players. The combination of fast-paced action, creative weaponry, and platforming challenges added a layer of depth and excitement to the overall experience.

I got into this series because of my father, and frankly, I could see why. For the most part, all three games were amazing. They might contain some glitches not found in the original trilogy(which I have yet to play), but not enough to make them unplayable. Up Your Arsenal is my proposal favorite. I also like the inclusion of the codes originally exclusive to Japan. My issues with the trilogy revolve around the games themselves. The first game is cumbersome, the second frustrating, and the third too easy. Also, there is no option to change the difficulty, which could've been done due to previous titles on PS3 (esp. A Crack in Time).

When I was a child, I played the a lot of Ratchet and Clank 3 and Deadlock on the PS2 and it was a blast. So as for someone who didn't play the 1st and 2nd, I would say that I was curious to know how they played. And man oh man, they both great in their own way. Further more, I actually really enjoyed the exploration in the 1st and 2nd games that was very missing in the 3nd game. The OST in the 1st game has some really bangers and certified hood classics. The 2nd and 3rd have a lot last hits on the OST, but still not that as the Ratchet games on the PS3 and.. the remake YUK. Also, I have to gush about the RYNO in 2nd and 1st game. They're such a game breaker and I love them. The 3rd RYNO was always an issue for because when you to MAX LVL5, the weapon becomes useless against bosses and just erases everything on screen that isn't a boss. ANYWAY, before this review becomes a love letter to the old Ratchet games, lets to a simple bullet list on why these games are a MUST to play. Pros (for all) - Always have a variety of gameplay (will expand upon below) - Art style keeps the game alive because it doesn't rely on shiny realistic games - The weapons are just awesome and are not the same. WAY BETTER Than any Borderland games' weapons which are all the same. Each weapon is unique and has it's own charm to it. - Unique enemy variety - Nice stories (well except the 3rd, which can't choose between "Squishy" supremacy or classic alien race that wants to conquer the galaxy) - And of of course, Banger OSTs Pros for the 1st - The exploration aspect was really fun - No LVL for weapons was actually a good thing because then, I can actually use the right weapons for the job and not invest my time on lamer weapons I'll never use (like the Infector in 3) - Hoverboard Races where really fun, and I wish they kept it!!! - The music is always a banger Cons for the 1st - No strafing really makes the combat annoying. Pros for the 2nd - Has the best RYNO of all - Combat arena - Strafing - I can actually afford the RYNO in challenge mode - No useless weapons like in the 1st - Has a ton of side activities like space battles, and old fashion races Cons for the 2nd - While the level system isn't as annoying as the 3rd, the fire alterations can actually make the weapons less useful like Lava Gun - The races are pretty meh compared to the hoverboard races. they should have expanded upon the hoverboard mechanics more. Pros for the 3rd - Extra weapon slot that was missing in the 2nd game for the old weapons. - The Hypershot was a great gadget that fuses Swingshot and Dynamo to one tool. Also you don't need to equip it to use it. - Multiplayer... well it was a Pro.. - Weapon discount if you play the 2rd and the 1st Cons - RYNO 5th level - Story is confused - Alien conversions gimmick is boring - Sometimes glitchy - The usage of bonus boxes and inferno is not fully fleshed out. Could use some work to make it interesting. Anyway, buy the HD remake, and don't play Rift Apart, it's Woke

All three games hold up remarkably well and are still a ton of fun to play; with 'Going Commando' being the best of the bunch. These are easily some of the best games on the PlayStation 2. The collection does have some odd graphical hiccups in a few places as well as an annoying issue where the game crashes in the sewers in 'Up Your Arsenal', but other than that, this is the preferred way to replay these games.

Outside of a few visual hiccups, dips in framerate as a result of emulation, and minor bugs, this is solid HD remaster of the very best trilogy in gaming history.

Ratchet and Clank is great and this Collection features the best games of the series. Ratchet and Clank games are 3D platformers set in semi-open levels, with shooting mechanics. There are also the occasional mini-games. I admit that the shooting mechanics are archaic compared to modern shooters, but these games were not about shooting itself but rather about having fun. It's not about headshots or killstreaks but using otherworldly weapons like sheepinator and Rhyno and have fun with them. While the 1st game focused more on platforming, each new game put platforming to the side in favor of shooting. By Ratchet 3 it had become too much of a shooter IMHO. Still, great games. Like many PS2 era games, Ratchet and Clank games are fun, with comical scripts and lighthearted humor. It's something that I totally miss these days with most modern games. On PS3 these games run at 60 fps, and the remaster is among the good ones. If you like Ratchet and Clank there are also the PS3-era games and the PS4 remake of the 1st game with much better graphics and revamped gameplay. I hope we see a new Ratchet and Clank game in the future.

Ratchet & Clank are some of the favorite characters from the PS2 era and therefore it is only logical that they've been remastered, but sometime age is not so kind for old gems, so let's see how this collection stands out on its own. Technically the graphics are more or less identical, which is not a surprise given the fact that those games were absolutely beautiful when they came out with a cartoon style, they've always been the closest studio to a Pixar movie visuals and you'll see that evolution over the episodes. On the bad side this remaster is a bit lazy as they didn't bother to correct the very few glitches on the game. Gameplay wise Ratchet & Clank is the best in its genre mixing shooting elements with a wide and deliriously funny weapons choice and 3D platformer with a lot of different situations and mini-games thanks to the gadgets. There's also a lot of collectibles for the ones that like to have the 100% which encourage exploration in all the levels. Concerning the story the characters are perfect they will all be remember, the dialogues are funny and the bad guys are charismatic offering true commitment from the players in order to defeat them. Each game is approximately 12 hours long (if you want the 100%) which means this collection is around 40 hours of pure fun. Good deal for the price. So in conclusion if you like Pixar movies these games are a must play but for the small added value of the remaster I will not give it the perfect mark (even though Ratchet 2 and 3 are easily worth a 10 in my opinion), still advised for everyone that didn't play them on PS2.

Probably one of, if not the best action adventure platforming game series of all time. All three games have great entertainment value, great diverse game play, and ok stories with likable characters. My favorite from best to worst in this collection are up your arsenal, going commando, and original ratchet and clank ( although there isn't really a bad game in the bunch). One of the best thing about this series is that it does enough unique platforming in each game to offset the amount of shooting there is. It keeps things fresh and some have fun puzzles and cool/funny guns and even fun bosses. I also enjoyed the "open world" gameplay in all three games, where you can visit and revisit anyplace you've been to before. The only negatives about this collection are the "meh" graphics (obviously), some people will probably find the game repetitive with all the shooting and breaking crates, and the stories are nothing special. To end, anyone who enjoys platforming with a lot of shooting/ action should pick up the classic.

Who doesn't love Ratchet & Clank? I grew up with these games and loved every single one of them, blowing up **** with my weapons turning people into ducks upgrading my weapons these games are like an addiction. So you're probably wondering why I gave this a 7 instead of a 10/10 well because the games are good its the collection that ****. In fact the Collection would get a 3 or a 2 if I didn't like the Ratchet & Clank Games. 1st off there are more glitches in the Collection then their are in the actual PS2 Games and secondly a weird glitch happens with the sound on each game where after the song is finished when it starts all over again a few seconds into the song it will start again. To me this is the most irritating thing ever because I appreciate the soundtrack of these games in fact I love it and I hate it when the song doesn't play the way its supposed to. To you this is a small thing I know but to me it is not. There is also a glitch where the Sound stops completely or sometimes you'll hear the constant firing of your weapon when your not even shooting someone in the game and this is very annoying. This also occurred in the PS2 Versions of the game so I'm used to it by now but still you'd think they would actually improve the game and remove these glitches. Lastly the Main Menu for this Collection **** ass its the most terrible Main Menu for a PS3 Collection I have ever seen. I know it sounds like I'm complaining about something stupid but come on, every PS3 Collection I've played at least made an effort to create a good looking Main Menu or at least something decent. The Main Menu for this game is a lame picture of Ratchet & Clank All 4 One with a square in the middle depicting scenes from the 3 R & C Games from which you have to select. I thought to myself calm down its just a Main Menu its not like they could **** up anything else right? In my conclusion I love the games but I hate the lazy effort put into making the collection. Ratchet & Clank deserves better they deserve more respect. This right here is an example of an HD Collection done wrong. I never even thought it was possible to **** up an HD Collection but I guess I was wrong. Like AngryJoe always says 'you done ****ed it up'.

Me: "Aaaalright! what's in for me today :3 ?" *game shows up. "Those old fossils? ugh, fine." Well; that was a recording from a coupla' days ago. I wanted to review this game and it's been a while since. But i just didn't want to you know? It's kinda' complex... sort of. The game(s) were a big part of my childhood but as of today, i haven't touched them in a longer while than since i ate a kiwi fruit. Trust me, they aren't derricious. Huw-a-haagh! Alright; let's just get this the hell over with before i have to eat a kiwi instead! To start off with; the game is hella' lawng dawg! Three Ps2 classics in one! For less money than all the three ones combined! Quite smashing dontcha' think? Har, har, har! Anyways, the game is made by Insomaniac! Sorry wrong one, Insomniac! (i think) Which has made quite a couple of interesting gems lemme' tell ya' that. To begin with; the games take place in a galaxy full of tyranny and trouble and it's your job as an anthropomorphic-cat-dude who's only company is a tin can with limbs and a helicopter head. Yay. The game plays like a third-person-shooter, you can buy 'nades, guns, lasers, flamethrowers, hovering mines, transformation-to-duck-fetish-gun, and so on. You get ammo and money from crates or you can buy some good ol' mafia products in da' hood downtown that's currently overrun by gluttonous jabba the hutt-looking mothaf*ckas that split into smaller jabba the hutt-looking mothaf*ckas when hit (literally, not kidding). As i said; the game is basically a collection of three Ps2 classics: Ratchet And Clank 1, Ratchet And Clank 2, and then the third one because i'm too lazy to write all that one more time. Which then means that the game itself is very long, something i love with games these days. Most of em' are just way too short don't you think? Anyways, *takes a bite out of a kiwi. Not much needs to be said, just look up the things you are curious about! Lots of people will agree with me that this game is a present from god that lets us relive our childhoods with the old games we used to love. My Ps2 broke after many years of intense playing and, to be honest: that was a very sad day for me. I didn't realize it at first but my childhood would be practically gone without those games. Luckily, as we already know. Someone out there knew what to do. I gotta' say; why doesen't companies re-release their ancient old games/systems? I get that those things are outdated but come on, some were unreplacable! Like the Psp for an example; most of its games will never see the light of day again because... well, you know. Anyway, that rant **** the absolute juice out of me...... and this kiwi. That's one of the reasons i didn't want to review this game to begin with. It's just too much for my short reviews. Well, here's the roundup: Pros: 1) Soundtrack is awesome, fitting, and bad*ss at times. 2) Gameplaywise, it's like an average tps game with some creative guns.... ecept the banana-gun thing that they came up in the third installment... 3) Enemies are easy enough to beat but when they bunch up you'll have to get creative. 4) The story is basic enough and is easy to understand. Cons: 1) **** and glitches ladies and gentlemen! 2) Not more Hd than the previous games. Shocking, i know. 3) Annoying as f*ck enemies at points. 4) Unexplained puzzles 5) The ice levels. Don't even ask. To round this up i'm just gonna' say; nostalgia wasn't a part of this review. Not at all, in fact: i review games with the benefit of the doubt and in most cases; i ignore the nostalgia me and others have experienced playing these games. Which in those terms means that this game gets the score: "meh, but still good"

While I have long loved the series and find the remaster a wonderful way to revisit the games, I have two problems with this set: A) There's no Deadlocked and B) In Going Commando they developers seem to have tried to make Ratchet's helmet its own entity, which was not present in the original version of the game. This causes his helmet to look huge and ill-fitting during cutscenes throughout the game. Other than these, I love it!

The Ratchet and Clank Collection is one of a long line of HD remakes spewing onto the gaming market, however you feel about the remake genre this trilogy is a great purchase. There are two audiences that this game will be great value to; firstly the gamers that experienced this trilogy back in the 00’s on their beloved PS2s. The second is the new generation of children being introduced to the gaming world. As I grew up in the PS2 era of gaming, Ratchet and Clank was at the heart of my collection of games. Its witty charm, colourful charterers and general epicosity created stories that are still with me today. This brings us to the first audience for this game, nerds. Anyone who played these games when they were first released and loved them should go out and buy this trilogy, seeing these worlds again and bumping into familiar characters is extremely satisfying especially with the sweet sweet HD patches. However these games are not only good value to nerds that wish to revisit their childhoods, such as myself. It is also perfect value for the new generation, these games are still perfect for the younger audience of today to play and enjoy. Therefore is you’re a parent wanting good value for money, what could be better then three extremely well made games, with a cut price tag compared to new releases. Technically the game runs fine and the HD graphics are fairly standard, there’s nothing wrong with them however the aging style of the game itself does reflect in its visual presentation. The game play is as solid as it was ten years ago and the controls integrate well with the new Duelshock 3 controller. My only issue with this game is minute and picky, however I do feel that more could have been done to celebrate the decade of Ratchet and Clank with a nicer user interface when loading up the games from the menu or perhaps some kind of bonus unlock-ables such as concept art or video interviews as rewards to completing the trophies. In conclusion, Ratchet and Clank Collection is an appropriate use of the HD remake technology, as it serves well as a trophy for nerds like myself to have as a memento of those three brilliant games made in the past ten years by insomniac studios. However the main audience I would push this to, is the new generation of gamers who are looking for great quality games for very good value and maybe we can keep the love for our furry tailed Lombax and green eyed robot friends going a generation longer.

In the playstation 2 era ratchet and clank was my favourite game franchise. I got number 3 with my console and loved it and got the others to, thats why I was so excited for this collection. Lets start with the first game, R&C1 is the worst of these 3 but not a bad game at all, it establishes the timeless shoot and jump gameplay that all the games have used it just a shame ratchet isn't very likeable. 2 on the other hand fixes all of the issues with the first one adding tons of variety and new gameplay like ship piloting as well as upgradeble weapons that are now a series staple. 3 on the other hand takes out some variety in exchange for higher polish, this one is the most enjoyable of the set but its a shame the developer rushed this game's port to meet the twice delayed release date, as such this game is glitchier than the original version. All 3 games have brilliant graphics thanks to the cartoony visuals. This is a great value for money set. 9/10

I have waited very long for this collection to be released. now i have it, AND IT'S FRIGGIN brilliant! well except for some bugs, and strange glitches.with ratchet and clank 1 having the least bugs. but the games themselves make up for the bugs and glitches. even when you beat the story mode you will find yourself coming back for more, and will spend hours on finding the special bolts(gold, titanium, and platinum.) or trying to achieve the skillpoints. but even after that you might not get bored of the games. 9 out of 10 for some bugs and glitches, but very addictive gameplay.

Amazing. PERIOD. People say its hard to finish these games today, unless you've played them before. NO. Besides the first game, the series has aged extremely well. This is a blast from the past for me, Ratchet and Clank was a major game for me in my teens with its overly cheesy comedy and story of which always seems to be light hearted, All of these games have been ported excellently in stunning 1080p in which the games look great for their age other than a few minor issues with things such as the gadgetron machine on Ratchet and Clank 1. Unlike today's games which have money pumped but yet lack the quality game play and feel good experience they are designed for Ratchet and Clank comes filled with feel good moments and excellent game play to back it up and with each game you can definitely see the effort that went into these games as with each game certain elements are refined and updated and trust me these are noticeable and are for the better. Throughout my time playing these games I made sure to platinum each one before moving on to the next which often in the Ratchet and Clank series means playing through in challenge mode , which for me isn't a problem as these games are enjoyable enough for that, so for me getting the platinum for each trophy was a blast and allowed for lengthening the experience, in total i spent far more time on this game than any other in recent time bar one game which was Grandia a PSone classic for the Playstation 3/Vita. All in all Ratchet and Clank trilogy (as it is known in the UK) is great value for money and for me would have been worthy of a 10 if not for a few minor graphical and technical glitches that i came across during my playthrough's but dont let this put you off as they are only minor and are not very frequent definitely give this game a try if you love platforming action you will not be disappointed.

This is possibly the best remaster this far. No doubt it is the prettiest looking. Aside from some horrible bugs, the games are perfect! The platform parts are good, the shooting parts even better! Funny and inventive weapons, and tons of gadgets that will keep you looking for more!

Still my favorite game series of all time. The port sadly is issued with frame rate problems and glitches especially in the Original and Up Your Arsenal. I recommend any platformer fan to check this out.

I dont get why this has such a bad score, the games are awesome, and the quality is much better then the ps2 version. Totally worth the money imo. 10/10.
