Maybe is not the deepest RTS in the market, but Order of War is definitely capable of performing great graphics and a nice gameplay.

Although Order of War is not an innovative game, it is indeed a good option for fans of strategy, specially the ones who like World War Two.

Great mechanics and a beautiful presentation make Order of War shine brightly among some incredible WWII strategy games. Anyone who enjoys the genre should give this one a shot.

Well, this is a very weal RTS, i have played a lot, COH2, COH1, Steel Divison, Wargame series, Men Of War and oh boy, Order Of War, is weak, very weak, lack of information, icons, and commands that you can give, make it hard to play seriously as a RTS of heaviness.

It's like if you took World in Conflict, and mixed it with Blitzkrieg and then took all the strategy out of the mix, it’s just disappointing. It’s like all the ingredients are there but it really just devolves into unit spam (select all units attack) over and over and that’s about it. There are no special abilities, no retreating for your units, or reinforcing/repairing your damaged units. All the units can do is attack and with units and unit cards so small good luck seeing them. With the games cinematic camera mode though, it's like it was supposed to be like an interactive battle movie simulator.

While you won't find much innovation, Order of War is a well crafted RTS game. The lack of satisfying multiplayer is disappointing but the single player game is rewarding enough to keep you coming back for more.

Competent WW2 -version of World in Conflict, camera controls could use some extra freedom. But when gameplay is simplified, it must be compensated with gorgeous graphics and interesting story, as WiC did. And Order of War is truly lame name. [Nov 2010]

This game is something I have been waiting for, I overlooked it because its review was average even though it deserves a lot more than it got. This game has lots of beautiful destruction that lots of other games overlook. If anything this games gets you as close to WW2 as possible in terms of a RTS. The survival mode is nice and I just love the complete carnage on bridge battles. I would defiantly recommend this game, it has good replay value and multiplayer is a beast. You can not beat $7.99 for a games that's this good on steam. Some people say this game is like your average RTS point and click but what RTS isn't,its a great game get it and good luck.

Order of War offers enough challenge to satisfy the purists, but it’s also surprisingly inviting for newcomers. The World War II-setting is used very well and the cinematic perspective makes for a great addition. The graphics are disappointing though, and there are tons of little nags that start to irritate after some time.

Order of War is like a popcorn war: fast and tasty, a nice little snack, but not a full meal. It's too easy for veterans and not impressive enough for casual gamers. But if you are looking for occasional fast battles, it's a good choice. It won't get less complicated than this.

In the end, Order of War is a typical World War II RTS through and through. It does what its supposed to do, namely provide two campaigns and some skirmish play, but that's about it.

Order of war is irrefutable proof pretty Panzers are no longer enough. [Dec 2009, p.91]
