A great concept with potential, torn to pieces by bland shooting, horrid dialogue and frustrating design. Swordplay can be fun but there's little else to enjoy. [Issue#82, p.88]

We give developer Rebellion a pat on the back for trying something original in the shooter genre, but it simply doesn't work that well. The story is dumb and so is main character Bryce. The gameplay is incredibly repetitive and gets really frustrating, really fast.

NeverDead's heart is in the right place: committed to entertaining you, no matter the cost - even if it means losing your head a few too many times along the way. [March 2012, p.120]

Un extraordinario juego, con amplia rejugabilidad en todas sus dificultades. Si bien no existe gran variedad de enemigos contra los villanos son extraordinarias batallas, la historia es genial y te atrapa, a cierto punto divertida y conmovedora.

This game was an experience. I cannot say I enjoyed it all the way throughBut it is a unique experience that is certainly worth playing once. The combat is an experience using the right from stick to use the Sword and using the triggers for Pistols it sounds like it could work but mostly it feels very clunky, but you get the hang of it and then you begin killing demons if they don't take a you a little bit and then you lose all your limbs. League of this game is that you don't die which is an awesome idea the execution is so and so that we are part Is that there are these small enemies that eat your head so you get a game over but that is a very annoying mechanic because it is a quick time event and if you do it in the last part of a boss fight then if you have to start over and that is really f****** frustrating. The voice acting was fine enough when I realized that the main guys voice actor was jiraiya from the naruto it was truly funny and I couldn't hear it. The thing about this game is the Beginning is not the funnest but when you get a round halfway through which is kind of a sad thing to say but is true it gets amazingly better and more fun to play the game the boss is become better. The enemy is signed gets better the level design. Just everything in the game gets better when you get halfway through and get over the f****** sewer level.

Unlike most say, the game looks good, remembering a bit the "touch" of Suda51 bizarre things. It's a bit (read "A LOT") difficult keep all your parts in place in most battles and, for a 2012 game, you could expect something more elaborate, but still a fine game to kill some grotesque and someway "obscene" demons in a way Capcom don't let us did with it's DMC series.

NeverDead is a cool and solid hack'n'slay like the good old Devil May Cry games. The crazy setting and the immortal hero will not appeal to every player, but I like the new and fresh gameplay mechanics.

NeverDead is a unique game that is marred mostly by its poor design choices. Still, I found myself really enjoying the ridiculous premise and limb severing game play.

Konami once again surprised everyone - made their own Devil May Cry, with a European taste. Soundtrack could easily qualify for Oscars. With a hint at the sequel!

If I'm being brutally honest, aside from the dismemberment and decapitation mechanics, NeverDead is a goulash of sterile platitudes and worn-out stereotypes. It's great for a few chuckles right out of the box, but once you've been playing for a while, the game's shortcomings start to pile up pretty quickly. Perhaps my disappointment was magnified because the game had so much potential, but ended up being the same game we all played numerous times ten years ago.

A unique concept let down by clunky controls, repetition and cringy script-writing.

This lack of polish wouldn't be nearly as frustrating if not for the fact that the game's primary feature – the dismemberment of the main characters – makes the game less fun than it would have been as just a plain old third-person action game. Sure, it's a unique idea – but not every idea is worth pursuing. In the case of NeverDead, this concept should have been left on the cutting room floor. You could say the same about the game itself.

NeverDead is a game, and it can be completed. In my opinion, those are the two truths that cushion the space between a D- and an F. Remove those two facts, and you're left with an amateur effort that redefines the boundary between bad game and flat-out punishment.

I honestly loved this game the style of it was great the body being blown around. It took me as surprise as I thought its never dying aspect I thought it was a bit sketchy, but It was well worth it.

The game was too short, the dialogue needs some serious work, and I feel like they could have added more features to the game in general, like an actual new game+, more types of enemies, more weapons, etc. The combat could have been expanded upon as well but it was otherwise fairly enjoyable. Like other people have said, there were some unique ideas in here that could have used a little more work. Even with its shortcomings I still found it quite fun, and it was well worth the $10 I paid for it.

+ The story to the game is pretty good and the games best feature. + Using your head to reach locations and hidden items is the only cool use of this games gimmic. - The game limbs concept just doesn't work. It makes the game worse not better. - Your body is easily broken apart. Having to collect your limbs only for it to happen again is a pain. - The way you die is basically failing to time a button press when you head gets eaten. - Guns feel under powered compared to your sword. - There are enemies in the game that constantly re-spawn enemies and it takes forever to kill.

Os gráficos e o conceito de regeneração são bons, e só, porque a jogabilidade horrível, os monstros foram desenhados com a bunda, os personagens não possuem carisma.
