MySims: Cozy Bundle
Both MySims games deliver on their promise of fun, relaxed simulation experiences with a lot of charm and creativity, each with its own flavor; one focused on free-form creativity, the other on structured adventure and kingdom-building. Whilst I found major issues with some of the menus and with the camera controls – or lack thereof – the overall experience was still an enjoyable one.
MySims: Cozy Bundle offers two solid titles for Nintendo Switch that promise relaxation and a tad of creativity. It is the ideal game for those that like to bundle up in a cosy blanket and enjoy non-threatening gameplay.
The My Sims Cozy Bundle will give you a nice hit of nostalgia and charm, but not much beyond that. MySims and MySims Kingdom are pretty simple and repetitive games, what you see is what you get. While you can make your own fun, it’s only within the limitations of each title.

Don't you wish this belated re-release of a furniture simulator was any good? No, they haven't fixed any of the glitches, bugs, etc. but it's in HD now, so pay up.

On the whole, I'm very impressed with the re-releases of MySims and MySims Kingdom. They came rather unexpectedly, but they were a welcome surprise. It's great to play both these games again, and with the promised improvements to the graphics and performance. These two key focuses made this re-release superior to the original Wii releases. The controls on the Switch can be a bit awkward at times, but nothing that I found especially annoying or distracting. There's also the odd hiccup regarding sound playing correctly, but I seem to remember the Wii versions having this issue as well. It's nothing that a patch or two can't fix, or if not, it won't me from enjoying these remasters of two of my childhood games. Now if we get MySims Agents re-released for Nintendo Switch as well, I'll be over the moon.

The MySims: Cozy Bundle is a solid blast from the past albeit slightly held back by some lacklustre controls.

MySims: Cozy Bundle brings two nostalgic, fun games to the Switch. While the lack of motion controls and some repetitive gameplay in the first game are minor drawbacks, the charming characters, timeless art style, and creative mechanics still make it an enjoyable experience.

The MySims games work as a simple, less demanding alternative to other social sims. The generous and (mostly) well-presented combo of MySims and its more entertaining sequel will occupy youngsters and genre completionists for a long time. The lack of motion controls is puzzling, but this remains an engaging, easygoing pair of Sims spin-offs.

MySims Cozy Bundle is fun in the moment, and I enjoyed spending small bursts of time on building projects or gathering materials. It’s just that MySims itself is really quite bland and hardly even feels like a Sims game most of the time. MySims Kingdom might just be a fantasy repackaging of MySims, but it makes the most of the foundation EA created with the first game and is definitely the stronger of the two in this bundle.
