Does one thing really well: the Zen feeling of hitting a jump just right, catching the curve of the dirt like a stylus in a record groove. [Apr 2005, p.116]

The best and most important change is in the driving model, which corrects the overly touchy control seen in last year's "MX Unleashed." [Apr 2005, p.72]

A truly fantastic title. It's extremely well done and offers the best MX and ATV racing combination in town.

it's probably the most COMPLETE game of the series , there's lots of tracks, there's lots vehicles to choose and it's the only game of the series to have flying vehicles, just like most games of that time It has licensed Song. the CONS: has the same Graphic and physics of MX unleashed, every stunt has the same Score value, you wreck if you interrupt a Backflip or 360.

What a banger! Ask anybody interested in Motocross what their all-time favourite is and 95% will pick this one. Although it may look a bit dated graphically, its redeeming value is nonetheless the gameplay. I like to compare it to Counterstrike 1.6, both old and ugly vs. their modern counterparts, but technically unrivalled to this day. Sharp and responsive controls, quite challenging and hard to master but very rewarding, plus filled with the most banger tunes this time had to offer! Point deduction for having motorbike sounds that will rupture your eardrums after some time and tormenting new players by doing a bad job explaining its maybe most important technique. I know there is a video tutorial under the tutorial section that explains it basically, but players going directly into the career mode will struggle hard and blame the enemy ai for pulling impossible jumps. Pre-loading springs before a jump is something you need to learn right from the start!!!

and practically the same thing as MX UNLEASHED, but this one, the pilot goes much easier, which makes the game more difficult

While MX vs. ATV Unleashed does bear flaws that its predecessor did not, such as the long load times, superficial use of vehicles and questionable championship layout, these are outweighed by the terribly entertaining gameplay and pretty graphics that it delivers.

MX is probably the finest off-road racer to date. A long-awaited and worthy heir to the Motocross title and definitely worth the asking price. Highly recommended.

The vehicles are fairly well balanced, with bikes being able to grab more air while the ATVs have easier landings. In fact, that's the biggest issue with Unleashed: It's often difficult to judge where your bike wheels are lined up, which leads to a multitude of crashes.

The huge amount of vehicles makes the repetitive nature of the game not such a big problem and the physics of the game keep it in the realism side of things, but also offers pick up and play.

This title is slow with a capital "ssssss," taking nearly a full minute to load tracks or save your game.

This game overall was pretty good. The graphics were all there and the pain that the riders got when falling off the bikes was pretty cool too. I would have liked to see even more vehicles and better controls for the airplanes. Those things are probably the worst controlling things ever conceived in that game. Despite this, the game was well made and it was cool that you could do a free roam on all the maps.
