Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection reaches the pinnacle of the franchise with a mature narrative, stunning visuals, and innovative ecosystem mechanics that deepen the Rider's role. Turn-based combat is more challenging, although the experience suffers from the absence of online mode and a lack of a wider variety of weapons.
Everything is generally more rhythmic and strategic, like you're playing a mainline Monster Hunter game instead of a nascent turn-based system that isn't quite sure of itself yet. It all makes for an in-depth RPG spinoff, and we could use more games like that these days.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 finally lives up to its name, delivering a deeply moving experience through a compelling narrative and beautiful presentation. Its signature turn-based combat system has evolved with added strategic depth, while the streamlined farming balance maximizes the joy of raising monsters. Packed with enough engaging endgame content to easily devour hundreds of hours, it is a fantastic title highly recommended for all Monster Hunter fans.

By far the best of the 3 stories games. This time the story and characters are actually good and not a snooze fest. Visually this game is soo pretty and vibrant and the combat is immaculate turn base rpg

Intricate, immense, and incredible. Twisted Reflection is the biggest and most immersive expansion of the iconic franchise so far.

The character voice acting—especially in Japanese—adds further personality to the story and helps make the cast even more memorable.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is, without a doubt, the most ambitious chapter of Capcom’s RPG spin-off and marks a significant evolution for the series. While maintaining the classic structure built around exploration, egg gathering, and Monstie training, this installment introduces new mechanics that enrich the formula, making the experience deeper and more strategic.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 is the biggest step forward this sub-series has taken. We are looking at a grand and ambitious adventure in terms of its visuals, which significantly improves on the approach established by previous instalments. While it may not be an essential purchase, if you enjoy hunting, collecting and breeding, this is a great game to add to your collection.

With gorgeous graphics, solid performance, and an enjoyable story to follow, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a treat for fans of the franchise. Many mysteries enrich the series' lore, and fun never stops being the priority during gameplay. Despite having many repetitive moments, the new Monster Hunter is a feast for the eyes, once again showing a lot of love for its world.

I did actually enjoy my time with Monster Hunter Stories 3 despite having a list of issues with it, and I suspect the reason is because it reminded me of those unsung RPGs from the late 90s and early 2000s. It feels like the kind of game you had heard someone talk about glowingly on a message board years ago and when you look it up on eBay it’s inexplicably hundreds of dollars now. The bits of the game that did tickle my brain were tied to its myriad of systems and, while it can be overwhelming, I think the game would be lesser without them. Go ahead and give it a shot if you’re both a fan of Monster Hunter’s designs and world and also want to whittle away time making numbers go up.

It's an very good story-rpg with an interesting combat-system like the previous games of this series. It has also his own mechanics and improvements. This game has also an really pretty art style which fits perfect in my opinion. Overall this game is very clean and has no deficits.

Genuinely one of the best JRPGs you'll ever play. An absolute delight with deep combat, excellent level of difficulty, and an open world that truly makes you engage with the things around you.

The game is very good, very addictive ( gameplay, storie, graphics...). And also not that easy contrary to what the guy who gave it a 2-star rating said, because the game doesn't have an endgame (btw pure ragebait)

No multiplayer, no endgame. The VERY deep gameplay mechanics are made completely useless by the absolute lack of replayability, you finish the (very easy) main quest and you are done with the game forever. Not worthy of the Monster Hunter name and surely not worth the price. I would have asked for a refund if I knew this was it.
