Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel doesn't revolutionize the survivor-like genre, but it builds its own identity thanks to its Nordic setting, a well-designed progression system, and gameplay that manages to stay engaging even after numerous playthroughs. Local co-op represents an added value that's far from negligible, while the excellent Nintendo Switch 2 port lets you enjoy the experience without significant compromises compared to other consoles. It's a title that stakes everything on immediacy and the constant urge to tackle just one more run, and for the most part it hits that goal perfectly.

Blue Reflection Quartet is the definitive collection of the series, featuring a carefully crafted remaster that enhances the entire saga without compromising its identity, finally making it fully playable in a single package. However, it remains a missed opportunity in some respects due to the lack of an Italian localization, a significant shortcoming for an experience so heavily driven by its narrative. It may not be a JRPG for everyone, but those willing to embrace its deliberate pacing and the sensitivity with which it portrays its characters will discover an adventure that stands out from the crowd and earns a special place within the genre.

The Relic: First Guardian is an undeniably ambitious title, but it heavily suffers under the weight of expectations, ultimately trying to do too much and doing it poorly. There are certainly positive aspects: excellent environmental design, dynamic and intuitive gameplay, and an equipment management system that integrates seamlessly with the lore. However, these qualities are not enough to offset a series of poor game design choices. Enemies prove to be ultra-aggressive, while the 80 bosses—supposedly the flagship feature of the game—turn out to be flaw-ridden "damage sponges" that are often mere copies of one another. The game world is vast, varied, and boring—immersed in a cosmic void, with design decisions that destroy any sense of discovery. A visually well-crafted technical presentation is undercut by frustrating camera management and visibly dated NPCs. So many times in my reviews I find myself writing that "more could have been done," but The Relic: First Guardian is the first game that made me think that, perhaps, less should have been done.

As for the gameplay, the puzzles are stimulating enough to make you want to tackle them again after spending a long time conversing with the various NPCs.

CULTIC is a true love letter to classic shooters: fierce, bloody, and insanely fun, it captures the spirit of the great '90s FPS games while adding a crushing horror atmosphere and razor-sharp gameplay that keeps you glued to the screen from start to finish.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a solid remake that brings a landmark console shooter up to date without distorting its essence and with a healthy dose of respect for the original material. Perhaps they could have been a bit more daring, tweaking those sections that now feel a bit too repetitive, but the desire to preserve the original prevailed—and that’s understandable. Visually, the work done is good, but not as exceptional as what we’ve seen elsewhere recently. A few minor bugs and some minor issues with the save system still need to be fixed.

Denshattack! is much more than a bizarre idea turned into a video game—it's a project made with considerable care, capable of taking familiar concepts and reinterpreting them in an original way. A few narrative shortcomings and a certain repetitiveness over the long haul don't stop this production from standing out as one of the most interesting arcade surprises of 2026. For fans of games built around speed, combos, and the pursuit of the perfect run, it's a journey well worth taking.

Splatoon Raiders successfully takes the series in a bold new direction without losing sight of what made it special. Its single-player adventure remains engaging from start to finish, with only the endgame showing a few rough edges that could be smoothed out through future updates. Splatoon fans, as well as players looking for a more unconventional take on the looter shooter formula, will find an accessible and compelling experience here. The foundations for a strong new spin-off series are all in place. Now it's up to Nintendo to build on them in the months ahead.

The game deserves praise for its boldness in offering something fresh within a landscape perhaps somewhat saturated with action RPGs; it is a title that dares to be different and isn't afraid to showcase its own distinct identity. Fading Echo is a game worth championing, featuring an audiovisual style that is nothing short of dazzling.

Excellent sanity mechanics and proximity voice chat create genuine paranoia, but clumsy combat, unreliable animations and exhausting inventory management repeatedly undermine the experience.
