A very good episode with a lot of action and new characters.

While not having the exploration of Minecraft, this story-centric title provides an interesting experience that will give any player a few hours of entertainment. The addition of Crowd Play makes the game far more interesting than some other Telltale games.

Giant Consequences is a shorter episode, but a better one than the first with good pacing to the story and an interesting and amusing new baddie.

This new episode of Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 proved itself as a very promising one filled with action, plot twists, challenges and more impactful 'story changing' decisions unlike the last episode. Most of the new characters we met in the previous episode make their own unique return as their true self, with one saving the main character from death, and the other being just as nasty as previously, and then we can't forget the llama. The ending showed the series first major plot twist since the Wither Strom saga from the first season, ending off with great anticipation for the next episode. This saga without a doubt, is shaping up to be even better than the Wither Storm saga, though I just wish it didn't start off as dull from the last episode. Though never the less, this episode in my opinion, may be Telltale's finest work in this entire franchise, lets just hope they can keep it up for the remainder of the series.

Episode 2 proved excellent all the way around. I really appreciated the points they chose to hit, the themes of friendship and change, as well as the fantastic trip the Admin takes the group on. I never thought that these kinds of stories would be possible with Minecraft as the background, but it just proves to show that a good story can take place anywhere. Even an exploding Heckmouth.

The episode featured a few surprising story twists, a difficult moral dilemma, and ended off with yet another cliffhanger and an ominous preview of things to come.

With a breakneck pace and action-packed events, the sophomore episode of season two has me hoping that the series can carry this momentum forward. Though I'm anticipating the typical Telltale pattern where all your choices end up not making much of a difference at the season's conclusion, I'm at least enjoying the ride to that point.

Ultimately, this was two hours in which nothing was accomplished. I feel no closer to the new members of the team and I don’t see any reason why this journey was worth telling. It was recycled, mundane, and lacking in every way. Episode 2 is a huge letdown compared to the solid beginnings of Episode 1. There’s still time to right the ship, and I’m really hoping they manage to do just that.

Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 - Episode 2 "Giant Consequences" doesn't help lift this series out of the slump that began in the premier. This season looks to have better days ahead, but right now it's just not hitting the right spots.
