The web-swinging system is the true heart of the game: fast, satisfying, and perfectly integrated with the exploration of New York City. While the combat system is clearly inspired by the Batman Arkham series, it still manages to stand out thanks to gadgets, suit powers, and Spider-Man’s high mobility. The main campaign delivers memorable boss fights, strong narrative progression, and a solid balance between action, stealth, and light puzzle elements. The DLC episodes generally maintain high quality, especially through their secondary characters and expanded world-building. The amount of extra content is also impressive: unlockable suits, special abilities, challenges, J. Jonah Jameson podcasts, and side missions all help make Manhattan feel alive and immersive. The game is not without flaws, including somewhat standard open-world activities, a occasionally predictable story, and minor technical or AI issues. A big joy to play from beginning to end. The story, voice acting, characters, and especially the gameplay are all fantastic. The combat is incredibly fun, with great animations, and swinging around the city feels absolutely perfect. It’s one of those must‑play titles for anyone who loves single‑player games, and with a DualSense connected by cable (for haptics, triggers, and audio features), plus a TV, it becomes the ideal experience. Say what you want about Sony and PlayStation, but when it comes to first‑party games, nobody matches them.
