Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is the most ambitious entry in the franchise, and you can feel it in every design decision: four heroes, four perspectives on the same fall of the world, and the rare freedom to experience them in any order without losing a shred of progress. The combat remains among the best on the TBS market, now with more layers, more spectacle, and a risk-reward system that forces you to rethink strategies you'd taken for granted. If it stumbles, it stumbles from excess: the management between battles repeats itself one too many times across four campaigns that are nearly identical in structure, and the final act doesn't always live up to the ambition of the rest, with predictable twists and heroes who deserved more room in a story that ends up belonging only to the protagonist. Fortune's Weave isn't perfect, but it's one of those games you'll remember for years, and that outweighs any rough edge still left to polish.

Graveyard Keeper 2 is a sequel that knows how to build on the foundations of the original, even if it doesn’t quite shake off a few quirks. The ambitious tower defence mechanics and automation features are welcome additions and help cement the game’s personality, which retains its characteristic charm and dark humour. Despite the sometimes exhausting micromanagement and a few bugs, Graveyard Keeper 2 is a fun and addictive life sim for those who enjoy watching a well-oiled machine in action.

I find it really hard to imagine my daughter ever asking me to play Marvel's Wolverine. And that's not a criticism, the game knows exactly what it is and what it wants, and Insomniac had the good sense not to try to disguise that to make it more palatable. I'm convinced fans of the character will appreciate the ride, they won't find anything new as far as the story goes, but they'll get to check off yet another long-held wishlist item, one that enriches Insomniac's Marvel universe and shows it can offer distinct experiences as part of a larger whole. Do I picture other things? A Punisher in this same register would be incredible... An open-world Daredevil, Iron Man, Thor, Blade, even other genres entirely, all building toward an inevitable final showdown, one that any given post-credits scene could easily hint at.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls proves that fighting games don't have to be intimidating for newcomers. Arc System Works has crafted a smart combat system where "button mashing" actually yields immediate results, yet hides immense mechanical depth for those willing to put in the time to learn. The single-player content could be a bit more robust, but the visual excellence and incredibly accessible learning curve make Marvel Tokon a stellar fighting game.

Mortal Shell 2 is the perfect example of a sequel done right, improving upon nearly every aspect of the original and doubling down on its unique identity to truly stand out in a sea of Soulslikes. Cold Symmetry took the first game's solid foundations and expanded upon them with deliciously aggressive combat, inventive weapons, and striking art direction. Despite a few rough edges, uneven difficulty spikes, and the occasional cheap death, Fallgrim's dense atmosphere and addictive gameplay will keep you hooked from the very first second to the last.

Splatoon Raiders isn't the definitive story mode fans have been chasing for years, but it’s honestly more fun and ambitious than it needed to be. The gadget system is one of the freshest ideas the series has ever seen, the bosses remain memorable and the presentation is a remarkable leap in quality for Nintendo. It lacks a narrative that matches its mechanical ambition, as well as some trimming down of the repetition in its final hours, but as a first attempt at bringing Inkling ink into loot-and-explore territory, it proves to be a winning formula, one that deserves further exploration from Nintendo's creative minds.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced is much more than an appeal to nostalgia. Ubisoft has managed to revitalize one of its most beloved games with remarkable graphical and gameplay improvements, incredibly fluid parkour, and a dense, seamless open world, inviting exploration like never before. Although the absence of the multiplayer mode and the Freedom Cry DLC is regrettable, Edward Kenway's journey has never looked better or been more enjoyable to play. Surprisingly, Ubisoft has managed to deliver the definitive version of a classic, capable of pleasing both old sea dogs and newcomers alike.

In short, Rhythm Paradise Groove is a competent and genuinely fun return of one of Nintendo's most original franchises. It is not the definitive reinvention that a wait of more than ten years might have deserved, but it offers enough content to justify dozens of hours of play. It could use a bit more polish and care in its overall presentation, along with a feedback system for those chasing perfection on every track. Even so, for fans of the series, and for anyone wanting a Switch 2 filled with catchy music and good-humoured nonsense, Rhythm Paradise Groove delivers on what it sets out to do.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of the best entries in the LEGO series in years. Visually striking and atmospheric, which makes all the difference when we're talking about Gotham City, with spectacular graphics, dynamic combat, sharp humor, and a genuine celebration of decades of Batman lore. Solo or in good company, it's a hard game to put down, whether for long-time fans or for those discovering the Dark Knight for the first time.

eFootball Kick Off doesn't try to compete directly with the giants of the genre in terms of content or licensing. Instead, it delivers a focused, accessible, and technically solid experience where it matters most, on the pitch. Smooth 60fps gameplay, combined with a more straightforward approach and a competitive price point, make it a highly appealing proposition, especially for those who value local multiplayer and are looking for a football game free from the obligations that come with the dominant live-service models on the market.
