Mario Kart Tour makes a surprisingly fantastic mobile game because of the tons of items to collect, the fun gameplay loop, and the short but sweet matches!

I sincerely hope that investors see this as a wake-up call that's harmful to Nintendo's long-term reputation. [Issue #43 – November/December 2019, p. 26SW]

Mario Kart Tour is a good mobile racing game that could be even better with another monetization system. Thanks to its good gameplay and a remarkable technical section, this title stands out among other mobile games.

A very poor mario kart, but a fine enough mobile game, the game is somewhat fun when you get to play it but after the tour ends YOU HAVE TO UPDATE THE GAME AGAIN, AND AFTER YOU UPDATE IT, which btw, TAKES LIKE 7 MINUTES TO LOAD THE STUPID GAME, and at that point I DON’T CARE TO PLAY ANYMORE, the game also used to be full of micro transactions which were a SCAM, the game is ALRIGHT when you get to play, key word, WHEN YOU GET TO, this game is not great and it is LUCKY to get a 5, take it as a blessing, oh yeah I forgot good luck getting good characters and karts and gliders, haha GOOD LUCK

The game is great itself, but let's talk mainly about the disadvantages: 1- There is the 200cc mode, but you have to PAY to get it, which is kind of a party pooper.
2- It has fallen in foreigness, at least for me.
3- There are way too many courses to take on.
4- It need updates once in a while (each 2 weeks) But if you want a mobile game that has the flavor of Mario Kart every time you go out? Try it! It's good if you just want a quick game in the public transport.

Mario Kart Tour isn’t perfect, but it is Nintendo’s best offering on mobile yet, and one that manages to completely avoid pay to win in the freemium space. That’s pretty commendable stuff.

Monetization really does stand out as being greedy and egregious, but it can't mask what is an otherwise fun adaptation of the Mario Kart formula on mobile.

Mario Kart Tour brings the thrill of Mario Kart to mobile devices in a surprisingly polished and accessible way. The game successfully translates the iconic tracks, items, and characters into a touch-based experience, offering fast-paced, fun, and chaotic racing on the go. Its colorful visuals, catchy music, and smooth animations capture the charm of the series perfectly. The frequent updates, new tours, and special events keep the game fresh, providing a steady stream of new challenges and tracks to explore. While the controls are simplified for mobile play, they remain intuitive and responsive, making races feel satisfying and competitive. The gacha-style character unlocks and customization add a collectible element without overwhelming the core racing experience. Overall, Mario Kart Tour proves that the Mario Kart formula can shine on mobile, offering hours of fun, strategic racing, and nostalgia for fans of the series

I like better Tour than 8 Wii U/ 8 Deluxe because i can play with almost a lot of characters from previous Mario Kart series. Just Paratroopa is missing a lot! as a character!

Mario Kart Tour is a fun – and free – racing game. It's always online, and it never lags. But characters and karts aren't varied as usual, there are too many elements to buy, and its control system is simple, but not intuitive.

The prospect of unlocking every part and every racer depends entirely on draining your wallet - but there is a good chance that I will keep returning with millions of others. The attraction of Mario Kart is even in its diluted form and with a dirty aftertaste too large to resist.

Mario Kart Tour is a blemish on the franchise it shares its name with. The genre-defining creativity found in past entries is completely absent here, replaced by a hollow experience that's simply coasting on the name and goodwill of the games that came before it. I can only hope this is Nintendo's mobile initiative hitting rock bottom, and that it's all uphill from here. Because I can't stand the thought of another one of my favorite series having its reputation dragged the mud in search of a quick buck.

A good looking but shallow repurposing of Nintendo’s classic kart racers, transforming it form the world’s favourite racing game to a cynical, and disturbingly persistent, cash grab.

Nintendo has been running this racing franchise for 31 years now, and it's amazing to see that they continue to make brilliant decisions. The fact that they have now brought this long-standing franchise to mobile gaming is just awesome.

i'm gonna be honest
while this game is good, it is a somewhat sort of downgrade compared to the previous entries such as 7, 8, and 8 Deluxe. its basically Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but with controls similar to that of 7, and it overall feels less polished, just look at the models for example. and the microtransactions is bad. while i do understand this is normal for a "pay to win" mobile game (or the 8 Deluxe's DLC), they literally make microtransactions for LITERALLY ALMOST EVERYTHING. you name it, Gold Pipes, characters, rubies. but other than that, beneath the cracks, the controls are at least responsive, the presentation is bearable, and the online multiplayer is either okay or bad based on your experience on 8 Deluxe's online mutiplayer. so overall, if you don't really care about microtransactions or are interested in them, i would recommend picking this one up. if you don't like microtransactions, its honestly debatable as to if i can recommend this one. who knows, you might like it
