Lost Records: Bloom is a wonderful time that explores the past and present while presenting an intriguing mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. Don't Nod somehow managed to capture the energy of the first two Life is Strange titles while giving something new and heartfelt.
While Bloom and Rage was an enjoyable romp through someone’s nostalgia, the frustrating pace of both the drama and the central mystery did not endear me to it. As is, I don’t feel as if I can recommend it the game until I see how things resolve in Part 2.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 plants the seeds to yet another excellent teen drama and mystery by Don’t Nod: authentic, fun, intimate and intriguing, the title naturally navigates complex themes and teenage conversations, showing the studio's tremendous evolution. If things remain this way on Tape 2, we will definitely have a new classic of the adventure genre in our hands.

Overall, a very interesting game. The story, set in the 90s, is good, and the cast of characters is adorable. The protagonist fulfills her role. The chemistry between the cast is really great and sounds natural. The use of the handheld camera is quite charming and brings a novelty factor to this type of game. There are several different routes and endings, so the replay value is good. On the negative side, the villain is totally two-dimensional, the supernatural elements are very poorly explained, and the romance options are forced and out of place

I created a metacritic account to make sure this games gets the praise it deserves. Lost Tapes: Bloom & Rage is not a game you play to pass time. It’s a game you inhabit. This isn’t about points, optimization, skill trees, or feeding the endless hunger for dopamine that so much of contemporary gaming revolves around. Bloom & Rage asks something rarer and more demanding: presence. Emotional attention. **** story is deeply touching not because of spectacle, but because of restraint. It’s about the side quests — the conversations that seem trivial at the time, the friendships that shape us without asking permission, the people we meet who leave marks long after the moment has passed. A tacky, lame, and overall intensely demoralizing story for the future of nostalgia-centric games. Nostalgia-slop for every person who got bullied in highschool and didn't understand why, even when the reason was painfully obvious.

It remains to be seen how this work will end with film number 2, which will be released next April, but for now, we have been delighted by Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. It offers a narrative adventure full of very charismatic characters, impeccable artistic design and a soundtrack used with skill at the most appropriate moments.

Really emotional and nostalgic, something magical about this game. The amount of criticism and hate this game gets is ridiculous. But sadly you can't please everyone I guess. Always so critical, always so serious, and ever so ignorant... This is about 90's teenagers for god's sake. Just teens being teens, dont take it personally haha...

Tape 1 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a solid prologue for what might hopefully "bloom" into a memorable story of reunion and reconnecting after decades apart. There are some bold new steps for the genre here, that are unfortunately held back by design choices that already felt archaic back when we first encountered them a decade ago. For now, I'm intrigued and interested to see what comes next, despite the obligatory wait.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 1 is a fun nostalgic trip back to the '90s and the mechanic of making short clips on Swann's camcorder is a clever gameplay element that adds another welcoming layer to the mostly narrative experience.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage has a lot going for it—a compelling mystery, a strong cast of characters, and a nostalgic atmosphere that captures the era perfectly. But the technical issues are hard to ignore. From audio glitches to animation bugs, it feels like the game needed more time in the oven. I’m hopeful that Part 2 will smooth out these rough edges, because there is certainly some potential here. It’s just not quite there yet.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 kept me interested throughout, though its heavy focus on character moments got in the way of forming a more cohesive main plot. I’m hopeful that all of the setup that’s been done will allow Tape 2 to fully explore the mystery behind Bloom & Rage’s ‘wild’ summer of 1995.

A disappointing follow-up to Life Is Strange, that tells its story in the most frustrating way possible, but there’s some signs it could turn things around in the second half.

I've already played for two hours waiting for some action and storyline but literally nothing happens. I know based on reviews that it will become more interesting but why I should watch uninteresting scenes does give you nothing for a timeline of full movie with plot and ending? Life is strange got your attention right from the start, this one I can't call a game at all. It's sad that on ps5 I can't refund my money back.

I loved LiS and LiS2. Third game was sadly a big letdown, and I started this one with the feeling that it's going to be the same way. First two hours really dragged on, but then the story started to pick up tremendously. If after first hour i would rate it 4, it improved to the 7-8 as the story unfolded. I recommend to give this game a chance.

Lost Records? More like Lost Saves. I know there was a fix for this bug, but it didn't restore the saves, so... Without this unpleasant experience I would have given it a 6.

Tape 1 had a horrible pace, with 4 hours of nothing until the last hour. The characters were not well written at all, except for maybe one.
