KARMA: The Dark World
Karma: The Dark World is a magnificent 6-7 hour experience that you should definitely not miss if you love cinema and are a little bit interested in dystopian worlds. A story full of surprises about the paranoia of people living under an oppressive regime whose identity is not even fully known, creepy propaganda methods, regrets, hopes and fragility... and more.
A fantastic soundtrack and handful of excellent scenes aren’t enough to give Karma: The Dark World an identity greater than the number of sci-fi and horror classics it bluntly references throughout its story.
Karma the Dark World is a fantastic horror game that is only held back by a slow ending, with that, it has a fantastic plot which I can only hope to see it continued in another game.

This Game is a masterpiece. It has an amazing story and is my Goty of 2025. If you like 1984 Style Storydriven Games with Gameplay taking a backseat, then this is for you.

Believe me, the game design alone deserves 7 points. Its striking story and sense of tension are very good. I think it should definitely receive an award in the independent games category. I congratulate everyone who contributed. Good job.

This kind of came out of nowhere for me but it’s really right up my alley. A dystopian world with a well developed story… a splash of sci-fi and stunning visuals. A very tolerable amount of horror (don’t get me wrong… some of those moments if played in VR would probably require a pants change)… puzzles that are a challenge but manageable. Not to mention a moving soundtrack (even if I did have trouble making out what the words were in the song near the start of the game). Highly recommended for anyone who likes things a bit weird and thought provoking!

Amazing Story. The e Game is just Fine. Some Puzzles and some chase and run scenes. But the story and the music… oh my god. The new I’ve played in years. A mix of Lynch, Nolan and Kojima in one game. And the best… with taste. Please don’t leave it at the end. Dig in the story. Try to understand it. It’s totally rewarding.

Karma is a story about philosophy, religion, and culture, about the essence of humanity. Finally, I'd like to leave you with something unrelated to the game itself, but something you should return to after experiencing it for yourself. There's a lot to be said for the name of the studio behind Karma, Pollard Studios. Pollarding means cutting down or pruning trees so they grow back better, stronger, and denser. Perhaps things must first be destroyed before they can heal.

There are games that make you think - about the universe, the meaning of life, what is important and where we are going, the consequences of our actions. This psychological thriller evokes anything but indifference.

KARMA: The Dark World is a bold and thought-provoking experience that excels in storytelling, atmosphere, and immersive world-building. While it may not appeal to those looking for fast-paced action, it is a must-play for fans of psychological thrillers and dystopian narratives.

KARMA: The Dark World tells a mildly interesting story, but it squanders a lot of good potential with simplistic gameplay and obvious symbolism.

This is a ghost train ride. We are thrown in random, visually striking scenes with little to no gameplay elements. Besides some light number counting puzzles, and forced running sections there is not much interactivity here. The story is an overly convoluted mess, almost all of the aesthetics feel more like "this looked cool" instead of "this makes sense in this world". I just kinda lost interest, because there didn't seem to be much progression story or gameplay wise. This isn't a horror game, it's a walking simulator with creeoy visuals and random horror references.
