The best party title on the PS2 and has a superb likeness to The Muppet Show, making it a fine purchase for anyone with a thing for cuddly comedy.

It's not a bad game, but its no "Mario Party."

Gamers' Temple
It can have its moments, but a lack of action and exciting mini-games can make Muppet Party Cruise drag on like a bad party.

The value is placed in the sale price, not in the replay, and after two hours you’ll most likely be done with everything.

Game Revolution
Brings a fresh look to the party game scene with its unique brand of strategy and absence of plumbers, but it doesn’t have much of a life span. At $20, though, the frog, pig, chickens and things are better than you think.

GameBiz
If there’s one game you buy this year, make sure it’s not this one. Don’t even bother picking it up in a shop to view the screens on the back.

For every minigame that plays acceptably, there are three or four that have no redeeming value whatsoever. Control is consistently imprecise and occasionally mystifying, and none of the games approach any semblance of complexity.

I have played every party game on every system since the original PlayStation came out. In my opinion Muppet Party Cruise is by far the best. This is one of the most underrated games of all time. The various mini games are accessed by playing a mini game in which the players wander around the cruise ship opening doors. This is the weakest part of the game but still fun - most reviews of the game focus on this element. The mini games are all incredibly different from one another and vary in worth from pleasantly distracting to phenomenal. Good: Beach Speeders Crustacean Crush Cannon Fodder Outta Gas Pigsty Party Rhythm Mayhem Slippery When Wet Stage Fright Tug 'O War Food Fight Natural Disaster Scuba Driving GREAT: Dune Buggies Looney Unicycles Stinky Cheese Aeroplane Island Asteroid Belt Power Boatin' Sling Ball (AKA Precision Painter) Lights Out Fish Flingers Gumball Drops Spinball PHENOMENAL: Each deserves to be a stand alone game Bunsen's Burners Shuffle Chalk Speed Bingo Chemical Imbalance Short Circuit Too Cool Ticklin' The Ivories Any of the phenomenal mini-games would certainly have sold better than Muppet Party Cruise if they were sold alone. This one title has more creative and well balanced games in this one title than have appeared on X-Box arcade in the last two years.
