There’s simply no question that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is a must-play game.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is an incredibly polished PC port with all the bells and whistles you could possibly ask for. It looks and runs incredibly, with the ability to tweak visuals and performance to suit your device. Nixxes continues their perfect streak of ports, and this is a fantastic way to experience Aloy’s second adventure.

Horizon Forbidden West on PC looks absolutely beautiful, with surprisingly modest requirements considering the scale of the project. At its highest specifications, it is undoubtedly one of the most visually stunning games on the market.

With its previous visual and gameplay quality vastly improved, Horizon Forbidden West's PC port not only is the ultimate Horizon experience but is also an accomplishment in porting and video game development.

A Fantastic port, that continues the line of incredible PlayStation games coming over to the PC. This is one of Nixxes' finest works, with an incredible set of features and graphical options, as well as being the prettiest version of the prettiest game on PS5.

Nixxes has done a fantastic job adapting Horizon Forbidden West to PC, offering exceptional performance and optimization, with stunning graphics at 4K and FPS ranging from 85 to 108 on high-end systems, while even lower-end systems like the ROG Ally can handle the game at 720p with FSR 2.2, showcasing excellent adaptation across various setups.

This PC release is the definitive version of Horizon Forbidden West. It looks fantastic, runs brilliantly, and tells one of the more compelling action RPG stories I’ve yet played. Aloy and friends are great characters, and the Horizon world is enticing by design. It’s not smashing through genre barriers by any means, but the systems are expertly balanced and exciting to engage with. It stands toe to toe with the best open world games of all time, and Guerrilla’s trajectory suggests their next effort will be even better.

Horizon Forbidden West is the complete package across all aspects any player will care about. Stunningly beautiful, audibly beatific, challenging yet accessible, and frequently cinematic, I adored my time with Forbidden West the way I rarely do in any other game. Often, a game will excel in one area in particular and falter in others—and that’s okay. Here, I struggled to find criticisms to make, and the ones I did, while real, did not meaningfully impact the whole. If more AAA titles conducted themselves as such, I could see myself one day converting.

Horizon Forbidden West for PC is the best adventure starring Aloy, even on not the most powerful configurations. All the magic of Guerrilla Games' game has been delivered uncompromisingly and will engage you for several hours as you explore, fight and experience a beautifully narrated and wonderfully portrayed story, accompanied by a soundtrack worthy of a top-notch film production. By forgoing some detail, which is moreover compensated by the smaller screen size, even Steam Deck – or similar consoles – owners will enjoy this excellent production.
