If you’re a fan of the phenomenon Hatsune Miku, or you just love rhythm games, then absolutely play Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega Mix+ because it’s addictive and has a lot to offer.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix+ isn’t quite the PC port we would hope for but it is a great start for the series or for PC players to dip their toe into the Weeb-fueled rhythm game.

I had a fun time with Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega Mix+ from SEGA. It was colorful, musical, and a real treat without much effort. The replayability might be an issue when you reach expert status, but the desire to achieve a better score with more accuracy, while unlocking more songs might overcome the bore that comes with less challenging difficulty. Regardless, it’s a heckuva game.

I have not played the other older hatsune miku project diva game, however, I had a blast playing this game. I can see myself playing this in the future every now and then when I'm bored.

This is the best Rhythm game ever made, it has so many songs (100+) and all of them have amazing music videos and the song choices are great. If you play it on switch you can even play an extra gamemode for (I think) ALL OF THE SONGS where you use motion controls. The characters have a lot of costumes and Miku even has a sonic outfit that is really easy to get, you can even make custom T-shirts if you're into that. There is nothing more you could ask for this game except more songs and costumes and maybe an online mode, which, I don't think there is one except online rankings

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix+ on Steam Deck is the best portable Project Diva experience ever with its huge song list, gorgeous visuals, excellent performance, and features from both Nintendo Switch and PS4 games. If you've never played a Miku game yet, this is a fantastic entry point and an essential for rhythm game and Hatsune Miku fans.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva Megamix+ is the definitive Miku experience. This version will likely have it all, and with a launch playlist of 250 tracks, I think it’s a must-own for those who skipped the Switch release. In addition, the PC version offers stable performance, great sound and gameplay options, and additional visual styles. It’s an excellent day for Miku fans, but I’m looking forward to the day when we get updated music videos.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is a great game PC-owning rhythm game fans. The music remains catchy across all of the genres it tackles, and while the playfield can be busy, the mechanics place you in a trance once you get into a groove. The basic arcade mode is enough for most fans, while more creative types will enjoy the ability to create t-shirts and dress up the vocaloids in costumes. The absence of two songs isn't too bad, but the frame rate stutter is going to be painful if you plan to perfect all of the songs at higher difficulty levels. Fix that, and this would be perfect, but as it stands now, unless you hate vocaloid music, Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is worth a purchase.

If you’re a Hatsune Miku fan that’s been deprived of the Project DIVA series over the years due to not having a console, you might want to consider Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ a must-have if your PC is up to the job. While the gameplay is starting to feel a little old now, the fact that there are over 170 songs to enjoy here is incredible. The VIP edition with its 250 songs is the way to go, though. This is the ultimate Hatsune Miku experience. And there’s even the possibility of more songs being added in the future.

But for series newcomers and PC-focused players, Megamix+ is an easy recommendation. There's a ton of content here, built upon a strong rhythm-game foundation that challenges you to grow your skills and aim ever higher--all while having fun watching music videos, playing dress-up, and collecting all the cool and wacky customizations for the entire cast. But most importantly, Megamix+ is the best showcase of Miku's legacy to date, showcasing the unbridled creativity and variety of the online musical and artistic subcultures she's inspired.
