Mario Kart: Super Circuit8
Sep 7, 2026
stop having a skill issue. Joke aside, don't count it out for being a circuit racer, it has difficult gameplay that's a blast once mastered, alongside some of the most underrated tracks in the series even featuring all of Super's tracks too. Seriously Sunset Wilds, Rainbow Road, & Sky Garden are some of the best tracks of all time.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star2

terrible story, bad overworld gameplay with dreadful puzzles, probably the worst battle system ever conceived, and side content that's quite literally not worth it. This game is a travesty.

Paper Mario: Color Splash4
Sep 7, 2026
While the game is funny, looks nice, and has ideas, that does NOT make up for recycling just most of Sticker Star with a fresh coat of paint. It debatably making the awful Sticker Star gameplay systems worse, how is that even possible?

Super Paper Mario8
Sep 7, 2026
A fantastic Paper Mario game in every sense but the gameplay. Being a Platformer with little RPG elements is pretty rough, the level design is uninspired on average, boss design is a complete joke & items being the only battle option with action commands is a sin. Thankfully the story is excellent & side features are surprisingly great in spite of the gameplay.

The text speeds make this the worse version by default, just play the Gamecube version instead. I guess the new content & adjusted features are cool too.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2004)10
Sep 7, 2026
The perfect sequel in all definitions of the word. The Battle System somehow gets even better with the partner system rework, the stage as a feature, level up rewards going much further than before, and so much more. Then there's loads of new side content like the Pit of 100 Trials, the Pianta Parlor, & the Trouble Center. GOING EVEN FURTHER the graphics & music are timeless and of course the story works fantastically, mostly because the partners feel like actual characters now. The best game the Gamecube has to offer.

Pokemon Battle Revolution10
Sep 7, 2026
Absolutely a spectacular experience for people obsessed with Pokemon Battles. Without DS games for importing, the Battle offering can be challenging to some extents during the main game, but ones postgame hits, GG. With the Trade battle, Survival Battle & Masters Battle unlocked, you're given some of the best single player content in all of Pokemon. With DS imports, the main game is a joke, and quite a lot of post can be trivialized despite still being challenging. I miss online play :( .

Pokemon TCG Pocket5
Sep 7, 2026
It's a neat pack opening / collecting simulator if you want it. Unfortunately the actual TCG Battling scene is just not there (and probably won't be). Battles play too slowly, then the actual cards get involved. Draw cards barely exist leading any shred of consistency & creative deck building to feel nonexistent. Plus the power level of the format has just been all over the place since Mega Evolutions dropped. Lastly there are WAY too little playable cards per expansion, it almost feels like 90% of packs are just filler, which **** already in terms of playability, but even in the pack opening scene no guarantees on a card 3 Diamond or higher per regular pack (not Deluxe Pack) is a sin.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Live8
Sep 7, 2026
When you're actually able to push through the mountain of bugs, there is a fantastic TCG simulator here. Compared to Online, deck building is worse (but easy to learn), the CURRENT lack of the PROPER Expanded format kills format options (Thankfully the rotating Trainer Trials help the game spin back). Plus the Battle Pass (while lame), is a nice way to actually earn things while playing, alongside the free cards & decks Rotation & new expansions bring is fantastic, something TCG Online did VERY poorly. OH YEAH THE CRAFTING SYSTEM IS THE GREATEST THING EVER, LITERALLY JUST MAKE THE CARDS YOU WANT, NO UNBALANCED TRADES AGAINST YOU NEEDED.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Online8

Shame to see the goat put down. Absolutely fantastic game as the manus are actually good & deck building is streamlined pretty well. Only drawback was how abhorrent starting the game was as a Free 2 Play player with all the Trade-locked nonsense.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity7

Fantastic additions to the gameplay (the Exp System rework especially), shame the gameplay is pretty repetitive & so is the Pokemon Variety. Still a nice time but all the other English PMD games are just better.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time9
Sep 7, 2026
Takes the excellent gameplay of Red/Blue Rescue Teams and turns it up to 11... thousand. Mechanics feels the same, yet refined. Recruitment is substantially better. The new IQ Skill groups help correct the viability of many. And there's just so much content with a much more straight forward Postgame. Also the soundtrack & visuals are some of the best in the industry even to this day.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky10

Only gripe is the EXP mechanics making using new Pokemon difficult. Everything else is pretty much perfect. It takes literally every positive from Time/Darkness & adds SO much more. The critics have lost their mind with this one (RNG is fun, embrace it guys).

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX9
Sep 7, 2026
While the game certainly looks different... and even plays quite a bit different from from the OG's (very similarly to Super). It's different but still a great way to play the 1st PMD. The new EXP mechanics are the biggest improvement because now your can actually levelup without being unheard of levels of tedious. The replacement for the IQ system is much more simpler and tbh it succeeds because of that (and the customization).

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team8
Sep 7, 2026
Absolute classic & despite it's age, the gameplay feels unique in a good way (among the series), in a fun way even. The RNG is fun and GOOD, in a way you can mostly play around. Luck is nice to have, but Skill far much more, and the creativity the gameplay brews is unmatched.

Pokemon Ruby Version5
Sep 7, 2026
An absolute classic, shame going back to it is absolutely rough. The level curve is bad & of course HM's are too. Emerald exists & so do Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, so there's never a reason to come back. Also this game features the worst Battle Tower in series history.

Double battles are goated, almost like having more of them is a positive. the Battle Frontier & the rest of the new content is great, unfortunately the game is held back a bit in terms of it's playthrough since new Pokemon (excluding Rayquaza) don't exist for the main story, only postgame. Normal EXP System & HM issues persist, plus backtracking somehow got worse.

Big step up from OG Diamond & Pearl, and despite it's age, aspects of their remakes too. Much better Pokemon variety. The Level curve while jank, is a big step up from DP. Much more challenging, and the postgame content is much better. Unfortunately it's still got Gen 4 issues like HM's and the EXP system holding it back.

So imagine this concept, you make a Pokemon game with an actual story. Incredible. While normally a reset to 150 Pokemon isn't good (looking at you Diamond & Pearl), BW1 excel through ONLY using the new Pokemon. The game mechanics are just Gen 4+ (Which was already great), and it just generally feels good to play.

Diamond & Pearl but most of it is the same (many issues persist (Pokemon lineup related stuff, limited use TM's, bad level curve), and new ones join too (Some Pokemon being unable to evolve until postgame, the gutting of contests, the overworld movement)), helped out tenfold, mostly in terms of the battle mechanics. Also the removal of HM's as a feature is nice, but a bit jarring in execution.

While a much-needed improvement over the Gen 2 versions. HGSS still absolutely struggles in making the game "fun" to play through. With Pokemon still being too limited in options, Johto still not being fun to experience (or balanced well), the terrible level curve, things are not swell. Weird as Kanto get MUCH better, even overtaking Johto as the better region in the remakes, but still feeling like it lacks a bit of substance. It's also VERY strange that the game finally gets good after beating the game, with it's wicked amount of side features to play with. Shame so much of them suffer through some form of IRL time gating nonsense. Absolutely not the 10/10 people think it is, maybe give it another go for the first 10 in 15 years.

Pretty much the best Pokemon has to offer. Fantastic Pokemon variety. The Totem Battles & Other Gen 7 specific gameplay additions were perfectly tuned compared to Base SM. And the new (Such as an 8th Trial Site & The Team Rainbow Rocket Postgame) is good & meaningful content (especially the latter). God forbid we touch all the many side features And for those suggesting there's too much text. Just mash through it and do something else with your other hand, multitasking is good for you.

Wow this game's Zombies mode ****, destroyed just about every facet of what made the series the greatest ever. The Points system is AWFUL. Zombies only review, I'm sure the campaign was probably good.
