Don't let the ugly screenshots full you, the game looks much better in person. First you get 3 full games here, 2 retro style games and the full eschatos package. Eschatos is very much an old school style shmup with fast ships and fast bullets. What sets eschatos apart from every other shmup is there is no faff. About twenty eight levels with no cut scenes or scoring between them. It's just non-stop gameplay until you die or beat it. That's what makes it truly great, a rollercoaster that never slows down.

One of the absolute best shmups, not just on Switch, but of all time. This game is just so thrilling and fun. The soundtrack is absolutely kick-ass and the game is filled with verve from start to finish. The graphics are not exactly polished, but it doesn't really matter because they do the job and their simplicity probably contributes to the game running so well - even on Switch. The package also includes the developers earlier games Judgement Silversword and Cardinal Sins, and for the price, it's an absolute steal. Genuine contender for best shmup on the system.

ESCHATOS is a fantastic shoot-em-up experience all on its own but when you throw in Judgement Silversword, Cardinal Sins, and the various extra modes and features included in this package, you end up with an incredibly easy game to recommend. Should you choose to fully indulge in all it has to offer, ESCHATOS will keep you busy for hours on end. Not that there was much doubt, but this Switch version of the game runs like a dream. Another superb addition to the system’s shoot-em-up library, and one that even genre newcomers may find digestible.

Eschatos is already one of the best shoot 'em ups on Nintendo Switch. I hope some of the performance issues in Tate Mode can be resolved because that is my biggest issue with this release. Other than that, Eschatos is a sublime experience that I recommend to all fans of the genre. I hope we get a physical release in the near future.
