Dystopicon

Dystopicon’s portrayal of a collapsing authoritarian and fascist regime comes off as absurd, but the mechanisms within the presentation are far from any jest. It’s freaky and almost terrifying—even its gameplay will convince you, on occasion, to enter the Sarco pod just to get away from the TV once and for all.

Dystopicon asks the question “what would life be like if you could only watch television?", and it turns out the answer is rather boring.

Shallow, imitative, and unengaging, Dystopicon squanders an initially enterprising premise for immature gags and, at best, an ill-conceived attitude to death, sex, and drugs. Far from the advertised discomfort, Dystopicon is simply unpleasant.
