Distant Worlds 2 is following its predecessor’s footsteps providing us a vast and enormous 4X space sim, with more options and customization than ever. The inclusion of the ship editor is very good and adds depth (if it ever needed more) to a title that can and will be daunting for many. The inclusion of an option to delegate major parts of the gameplay to the AI is refreshing but is too tempting, and could reduce the entire game to a click simulator where all we do is to accept the AI suggestions.

Space strategy game with massive and vibrant galaxies, enormously motivating - if you can overcome the high entry hurdle.

A 4X space empires management on a epic scale. The mechanisms are sometime obtuse, and need some work to understand, but the result is spectacular: seeing your empire living, with hundred of civil ships fetching ressources, tourists, migrants ; fleets of tens of ships defending or attacking etc. is very immersive. Everything can be AI controlled or assisted, so you choose your level of involvment. The game is of course not perfect but I love the experience

It's a bit buggy but it has a lot of content and much more features then stelaris wen it launched well worth the price and if a healthy modding community forms it might be the best grand strategy space game especially if the developers continue to support the game like Gladius A Year latter and I think they really dropped the ball on this one
