This is an arcade game not for the faint of heart. I enjoyed being able to play with two friends at once, even though I generally finished the games alone. I find that the randomness of the builds makes for more thrilling playthroughs. Note that I never managed to reach the point where I have every lvl up upgrade, skill issue, I guess. But I still had an okay time playing.

Has a lot of good ideas, great graphics, and it's fun in the beginning but it quickly becomes tedious and seems like there's no point to the gameplay. There's no goals or anything. It falls short but could have been good.

This runs well on the switch considering how much is happening on the map. Unfortunately past a certain level progress tapers off and the game becomes a repetitive slog. Progress becomes tied to the power-ups you pick up, you may or may not get what you need; this is not a case of making use of what you have, you eventually have to have the force field to charge larger enemies without being swarmed and killed by the small fodder. Often powers spawn where you can't reach them, often in the centre of a horde, these are not worth attempting to pick up because a number of power-ups have little utility beyond a certain point. Sometimes you will only get the 'rebuild city' power up, this will continue to spawn until you pick it up, you have no choice. I got this on sale, but at full price this game simply isn't worth it despite the clean aesthetic, and it running well on the switch. I played for maybe 4 hours and I'm already done playing, not out of frustration but disinterest.
