As good as, if not better than the original Genesis version.

It's the perfect car trip game. I haven't been on a car trip in years, and I haven't been on a plane since I was 12, but I have been in plenty of boring situations. Desert Strike would have been the perfect solution to all of them.

The game can hover into repetitive territory since the missions aren't incredibly varied. [June 2002, p.150]

Exactly the same game as older [Genesis] players remember -- no upgrade in graphics, no extra levels or missions, and no multiplayer support.

The smaller GBA screen means you can't see as much of your surroundings as you could in the originals, making it easy to sustain damage from something you can't even see.

SummaryThe Scuds are back! With a fiery blast from your Hellfire missiles you must annihilate a ruthless tyrant's military arsenal. Smoke his private yacht and tear into his air force as you challenge the Madman's forces in a series of surgical strikes. Rip through 27 fiery missions. Force is highly recommended.
