One of the best twin-stick shooters ever! Uses a doom-like reward system where you earn ammo, health & upgrades by performing certain actions. The sound effects really pop and serve as cues to perform various actions like reloading or enemies getting ready to attack. Each enemy has a particular weapon vulnerability that cuts through them like butter. Especially love how you can earn health since that means you're *never* out of the fight. Sometimes after finishing a level and the action stops, notice my heart is pounding and I'm breathing heavy and can't believe a video game did this to me.

Playing Kill Knight feels like what happens if you gave a medieval peasant a bottle of soda. It's violent, and unexpected, and adrenaline-charged and fun as hell.

KILL KNIGHT is a devilishly impressive isometric shooter. There’s a pure glee generated by the title’s fast and ferocious combat working in perfect harmony with its hellish visuals and sound design. What may at first seem like an overly complicated system of mechanics quickly falls neatly into place and it becomes apparent just how superbly everything is designed to be cohesive and put the power into the player’s hands. A deeper notion of progression could have helped the game to avoid that feeling of repetition so commonly associated with high score-based arcade games, but it’s a minor critique in what is ultimately a skillfully crafted experience. Just one that may not be for the faint of heart.

Kill Knight is a magnificent arcade game. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it perfectly puts mechanics from other famous and successful action games next to each other to create a unique and satisfying gameplay loop. This is one of the few games out there that needs your 100% attention while you’re playing it and makes your time fly! With difficulty modifiers, in-game challenges, and quite a few weapons and items to unlock, Kill Knight is also a title with high replayability and a dream come true for arcade shooter fans.

Hooked Gamers
Kill Knight is a challenging but rewarding twin-stick shooter that will appeal to fans of the genre. While its steep learning curve and unforgiving difficulty may deter or frustrate some players, those who persevere will be rewarded with an intense and satisfying experience. And although the gameplay can be somewhat repetitious, particularly when you’re still getting the hang of all the button combos, mastering the movements and watching mayhem unfold is a pure joy.

Incredibly challenging but so very satisfying as the mechanics all click into place, Kill Knight is fun as hell plus it looks and sounds amazing.

Short and sweet and brutally hard (at least on the standard difficulty). Take my advice and unlock the rocket launcher primary. Made the game remotly possible for me.

Incredibly repetitive. I just felt bored after my third run, because this feels more like a bad roguelike.

Pretty rinse and repeat twin-stick shooter. Looks good and plays well enough, except I couldn't get my controller to work at all. And controller is the recommended way of playing. YMMV but I didn't care to keep on with the monotony after about 30 minutes.
