Demetrios is a solid point and click title from Cowcat. It is point and click and dialogue-driven, even to a fault at some points, but the difficulty will be enough to offer up a challenge to those who love the genre. Demetrios certainly isn’t perfect, much like its main character, but it is intriguing enough to warrant a go.

It's a good game, a worthy graphic adventure that call your attention in to go forward to see what's next. PROS: Very easy to play + Long game + Several jokes are funny + Controller support + Lots of puzzles + Characters are cool + Use of objects CONS: Too many dialogues (and you must press A button every time a text turns up) + Sometimes humor is too silly + Too many objects in almost every screen to examine

This game is a lot of fun! If you like original humor and don't mind some childish jokes, then you're in for a treat. It's very long and attractive with nice cartoon art. The puzzles are logical and varied, the screens have a lot of things to click on and it has a nice story. I really enjoyed the the gameovers and cookies collecting! I recommend it!

Sin embargo, pese a ser el primer título de la compañía, Cowcat Games nos ha regalado un título lleno de humor, con una historia absurda y unos personajes rocambolescos, todo ello basándose en una de las mejores sagas de todos los tiempos como es Broken Sword.

Demetrios – The BIG Cynical Adventure is a quirky point n’ click title with a perfect blend of smart, mature, and pop humour that tells a refreshingly new story without pushing itself into the realm of slapstick exaggeration for the sake of a gag.

We really hope and wish that Demetrios will bring COWCAT and Fabrice Breton the money needed to proceed with the creation of the next game, mostly in order to see if the talented French has something better and more imaginative to offer us in terms of script and overall story. All the other elements of Demetrios leave no doubt that through it a highly capable and ambitious developer was successfully introduced to all of us.

Overally it’s a decent effort. It’s not overly expensive so it won’t break the bank and it’s a nice walk down memory lane for those of us who grew up on Adventure games (but with mouse clicking instead of Parser commands.

If it sounds like this is all being to harsh on The BIG Cynical Adventure, it’s only because the game makes it too easy to be cynical right back at it. The one-man development efforts of Cowcat are to admired, but they sadly can’t save the end product from being purely mediocre.
