This Limited edition is a physical edition with a lot of goodies, but it mainly bundles the excellent base game in which you play with Cuphead and little brother Mugman, and the expansion The delicious last course. In addition to a new play environment and new challenges, this one brings with Ms. Chalice - it stays after a cup, mug and now a chalice in the theme of china - also a new playable character. Together they are good for at least 15 hours of proverbial self-mutilation of the funniest kind.

I played Cuphead for the first time soon after it came out, probably in 2018. But I finished it again a couple of times. Last of these was a week ago on my Switch. I finished it while riding the bus and it is a great game for that but I first want to talk about it just as it is. I think the first aspect of this game that many people fall in love with is it's cartoon aesthetics. It is inspired from the U.S. cartoons from the 30s and the 40s. The animation is very nuanced. The transition between different animations is afai seen perfectly done. And it has very descent gameplay to support it. It is incredibly hard of course but you do get better by playing and being able to start again right after you die is what keeps you in the game. You just try again and again until you do it. I like how shooting feels and I don't have an issue with the powerups. Other than not using them at all. This has to do with the type of player I am, I mostly stick to 1 or 2 main weapons and use them throughout the game but I don't think the other weapons add to much to the game. I won't say the same thing about the power ups. I think you can get some use out of them if you try to master them for long enough. I didn't but you can. I do have issues with the gameplay though. First of all, if you lose a heart in the beginning of the run, there is no incentive to continue with the run, starting a new run gives you a better chance of succeeding. I think they should've added a way to earn hearts during the runs. But maybe this is something they planned. Also, you do get into unfair circumstances where there is no way you could've prevented or escape from taking a damage so there is some unbalance in the gameplay but nothing too bad. Another thing is I don't think the game is finalised. I feel this especially with the Devil fight and King Dice before that. I think the King Dice part is rushed. I like the idea but I couldn't help but feeling they just didn't have enough time to do a better fitting pre-final boss so they added small bosses and that mechanic. I may be wrong here but I got that feeling. The final boss was a good fight but maybe not as glorious as it could be. There were better boss fights than it in the previous islands so that's another reason. One more thing, the run and gun parts could be more exciting or be something else. But I felt like those were game's low points. With everything said, I must say I love this game. It is such a comfort game for me. I want to try playing it co op sometime too which is a nice addition I think. The creativity and the love that has been put into it can be seen very clearly. And those musics, I listened to them so much. It is one of my favourite scores in all gaming. Great game (9/10)

people say this game is hard but it's really not that punishing if you lose and you have tons of powerful weapons at your disposal. I 100%ed the game is less than 80 hours. and I love the old art style and I only got mad once or twice. and i love the change of pace with the run and gun levels, and the bosses are very cool.

cuphead is a game with amazing graphics. and memorable songs to listen to when you are feeling down. the DLC is even better than the original with amazing new bosses and a cool map. and with a cool new character chalice. is has hard but fair and fun bosses. so if you are a gamer with a still level above a 7 out of 10 you should definitely play this game. but if you are not very good at platformers you should skip this one.

Jogo muito bom, é muito divertido jogar com a Mr Calice. Arte, música e a dificuldade do jogo não tem oque falar, é fantástico oque o Studio MDHR fez criando essa obra prima !

Great artwork and music. But the gameplay consists of hard, relatively long levels without any checkpoints. In practice, this means that you repeat the same level dozen of times, usually needing a couple of minutes until you reach the point you previously reached, only to progress a little bit more. This type of gameplay is unfun and frustrating to me. I dislike it so much, that a rating of 3 may even be high. But the art and music does some work in me appreciating the game.
