The game is very good (9/10), but it has some negative points: 1- The story is very confusing; 2- It could have more bosses; 3- There should be a difficulty selection at the beginning of the game.

I probably understood only half of the crazy story and will have to watch a few explanation videos later, but I was still completely hooked by it. The cold, eerie atmosphere and the overall vibe kept pulling me deeper into the mystery.I also loved the live-action videos featuring Dr. Casper Darling. They were easily some of my favorite parts of the **** gameplay was decent overall. The various powers and weapons were fun to use, but the combat started to wear on me after a while. It didn't help that some of the bosses felt like bullet sponges and dragged on much longer than they needed to.

Control is a mysterious game who is not meant for everybody. The gameplay and weird monsters are out of the ordinary, but really interesting. Just like the twists. I liked playing the game, but would’nt do it twice.

Incredibly uniquely game design and story. Most of the visuals and puzzles are amazing. Super unique gaming expierences all throughout the game. But some sidemissions being very lackluster of just being fetch quests or throwing something in something else like the what a mess missions. Which all drag and the amount of time spent trying to figure out where that last thing is or how to get into a room because of how useless the map is is a rough time. The lack of a final boss or a super crazy mission being the final mission is kind of disappointing. Yes the big climax is supposed to be the maze and then take control mission after is really interesting, but then to do such a generic boring mission for the finale still ****. The repitiveness of the enemies is also disappointing as some of the few enemies we do get are so unique and fun. So close to being a 9 with such small tweaks.

I couldn't get into it after just two hours of gameplay. It's one of those games that throws the player into doing something without context, resulting in mindless shooting. It failed to be immersive.

A very unique game, that has a lot of pretty amazing features. The gameplay was really impressive, giving the protagonist a lot of cool powers to play with. The world, while small is very distinct, and has a lot of things to do in it. And the story was very interesting, although the ending in my opinion could have been better.

I love games that try something new and aren't afraid to explore more "out there" stories, but I also hate "artsy-fartsy" games. It's like, I love art, but hate abstractionism. Control tip toes the line with its story, so you might love it, or you might just get frustated. It's a story straight vibing like the Lost series, a bunch of conspirecies and threads, but some are there just to bring weirdness, some are plot holes and some weave a great story that rewards being carefull and paying atention. Gameplay wise, it has some strenghts, dashing and flying around a shadow government office building is fun, using Jesse's powers is fun, and the guns are okay, but eventually everything starts looking the same, and the unique wow factor fades. It doesn't help that the enemies are repetitive and the game does the thing were it spawns infinite waves of them if you keep returning to the same area. In a game that requires you to backtrack and search back and forth an area for objectives, it gets anoying really quick. Also, the game has the worst map I've ever seen in a videogame since Starfield while giving you quests like finding an hidden item in a huge area with 0 pointers other than "yeah, its in this section" so consider going for a guide for this sections, wich is never a good thing.
All in all, actually a good take on the X-Files/STCP genre, weird but compeling story, decent gameplay and some genuine WOW moments.

I really like this game! As a fan of the alan wake universe, this is right up my alley. The gameplay is very different from alan wake however, and it was really fun. There is quite a bit of backtracking and some levels are too confusing without a guide, but I still really enjoyed it.

I had such an amazing time playing this game, the atmosphere, intense mystery, the fast telekinetic gameplay. It was a blast, found myself doing every sidequest I possibly could & exploring absolutely everything before continuing on the main quest. And that is where the fault lies. Mission 6, I spent 5hours doing every sidequest possible, then was excited to get back to the main scenario. I made it into the Panopticon, crossed the bridge on level 4, where I found Fortified Room 716. A large empty room, with absolutely no progression, basically an empty airport hanger with a glitched out wall where the entrance was, capable of viewing all the textures outside of the room pop in and out. I tried absolutely everything, closing & repoening the game, completeing various other sidequests in other sectors, revisiting the main scenario sector through the elevator instead of fast travel. The only solution seemed to be to erase multiple hours worth of progression & loot to completely restart the mission. The fact there is a bug so large in this game to not only halt progression, but to also require erasing it, is absolutely discouraging & frustrating to the player experience. It seems totally unacceptable that a hardlock like this would even exist. I was excited to finish the game, but this feeling of discouragement, the now promise of hardlocks being a possibility to erase hours of progression, I sadly cannot continue this game wholeheartedly.

Picked this up on sale for 207 THB thinking I scored — turns out I just bought frustration wrapped in flashy lighting effects. The atmosphere looks cool, sure, but the gameplay? Clunky, floaty, and straight-up boring. Combat feels like fighting the controller instead of enemies. The story tries so hard to be “deep” that it ends up just being confusing nonsense.Even on PS5, performance dips, aiming feels off, and the missions blur together like a bad fever dream. Control might impress you for ten minutes, but once you actually start playing, you realize it’s all style and no **** you want something that actually feels good to play, go with Ghost of Tsushima or Yotei. Those games know how to respect your time — this one doesn’t

This is an actual masterpiece. Done so well through the storytelling and everything makes sense. The details are AMAZING. The way the game progresses is so well done. Everything has an explanation and if it doesn't then it means the oldest house also doesn't know yet. There's NOTHING left out and the combat mechanics are so well balanced. I imagined that further on in the game with more powers i would basically be a god, but it's still balanced. And even after both dlcs there's still things to do. Best game ever made. Also the ashtray maze is the best game sequence ever made. Including the music. So peak.

Fantastic blend of story and action, technically marvelous, sometimes creepy AF.
Excellent in all aspects.

It was a game worth my time I needed to complete it. There was a certain challenge to the difficulty although at times it seemed unfair compared to the limited ways you can upgrade your character's strength. The story and the voice acting were on point loved the directionsit went to although I would prefer an ending a bigger climax at the end. I also adored the music soundtrack, I have saved some songs to listen to!

It's truly a unique setting and atmosphere for a game, I just wish they did more with it or wrapped it up in a remotely satisfying way. The gameplay, which does occasionally have some truly cool moments and memorable pieces, is way too repetitive and takes far too long to ramp up to an interesting level. The progression system also feels completely inconsequential. While it seems like it's supposed to let you tailor a build to your playstyle, none of it seems to make that much of an impact in practice. Still worth playing if you can get a deal on it. The game really does have some very cool ideas and writing that is often great.

Repetitive, random difficulty and above all one of the most terrible map navigation design ever faced. I cannot recommend thoa game. It brings nothing to the table and from time to time is not even enjoyable. Good opportunity missed.

Its fine, i mean, the intention is good but is notable that they didn't have a big budget to make it. The story seems unfinished and are some things that aren't easy to understand. U can play it if u don't have anything to play but isn't too entertaining. The dubbing is also poor and bad.

Control presents a carefully crafted visual design and atmosphere. However, the storytelling feels overly complex and rushed, making it difficult for players to form an emotional connection. The constant reliance on mystery is intriguing at first but gradually loses its impact due to repetition. The excessive number of documents frequently interrupts the flow of action, creating a sense of tonal imbalance. Despite the presence of DLSS support, occasional FPS drops still occur, highlighting areas for technical improvement. That said, Remedy’s creative vision and bold approach are commendable. I’d love to see this universe return in a more refined form.

"Control" is better than Remedy's previous two games, "Quantum Break" and "Alan Wake". It combines the sci-fi element of the former with the horror aspect of the latter. All three titles share many similarities and form a "trilogy" of sorts. In "Control", players step into the shoes of Jesse Faden, a member **** agency experimenting with the paranormal. The game is a third-person shooter in the vein of "Bioshock". It will appeal to fans of "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" and "Death Stranding". However, on PS4, the game struggles with framerate issues and load times. This was meant to be played on the PlayStation 5. But overall, I would rate this version with an 8.2 out of 10.

The gameplay is definitely the best part—it’s really fun to discover and use the powers. The story is full of mystery, and to truly understand it, you need to read all the documents found throughout the FBC building. The enemies can get a bit repetitive, but the most frustrating part was that my save file got corrupted after 20 hours of play. Sadly, this seems to be a common issue with the game.

One of my favourite games of all time. The atmosphere, environment, writing, the powers, controls, and their accompanying sounds, it's all so perfect. One of the rare games I platinumed and can see myself coming back to play through again and again.

I just wrote a long review and it got deleted. *Sigh* So, I'll just leave my last sentence here....even with my OCD-like gaming with regards to finishing games (even bad ones), I put this down after 8 hours. I think that says it all. In short, cool graphics, physics, and lore potential, but bad lore overload, boring levels, repeating enemies, bad map, and more.

Good game The controls and combat leave a bit to be desired but the story's creativity, performance and vibe make up for it

Control isn't a perfect game by a long-shot, but what Remedy have accomplished is something special. The world of the Federal Bureau of Control is fascinating and profoundly creative, with just the right amount of humour to balance its overly dark theme. A highlight for me was exploring the dark and strange corners of the Oldest House, marvelling at the beautiful art direction - something I don't think we give this game enough credit for. But at its heart, Control is an action game, and I've found the hybrid gun-telekinesis combat to be thrilling and satisfying. Whoever worked on the destructive environments deserves a raise. For criticism, I would have liked the story to more refined in its pacing and impact; the ending in particular didn't have the heft I was hoping for. Furthermore, navigating the Oldest House can be frustrating at times, mostly due to the map design choice. Finally, despite the action being the best part of this game, I feel there is still room for improvement to make combat more diverse and balanced. But overall, I can overlook these issues as they are minor, and did not detract from my overall enjoyment playing this gem. I am very much looking forward to the next iteration.

This is totally unplayable. The "story" feels like it's written by a twelve-year old, the controls are wonky at best and navigation is like an old Amiga game. This is pure ****. It feels like I overpaid for it, and that's after getting it for free on PSN.

The only cool thing about this game is the destruction of the scenery, as nothing disappears, and the gameplay is enjoyable. However, the story is terrible, and the map is extremely confusing, making it difficult to find the locations. This made me really stressed out. Go **** yourself.

Highly creative game with an interesting story and lots of fantastic lore that will keep you excited for the whole playthrough. The visuals, sound and physics in the game are amazing. Check the DLC too. The sequel can't come soon enough (which is in the making right now).

Its gameplay is different and fun, you feel powerful. Its story and its entire concept are intriguing for the player to want more and more, but I feel like there could be more of it, I wanted to know more about it, but I understand that to maintain the mystery it needs to be this way. The protagonist didn't captivate me at the beginning and in the end I got attached to her, because I didn't know much about her she didn't become an essential part of the game for me, I feel like there's something missing in her that can be improved in the second game.

Control offers a truly immersive gameplay experience, thanks to Remedy's powerful Northlight engine. Although the story may have some shortcomings, the game excels in providing a Metroidvania-style progression and a sense of discovery that is hard to find in other titles.

Pretty solid but flawed.
Control has a great story, filled with mistery, curiosity and lots of philosofical references. Its intriguing and quite possibly the best aspect of this game. The main problem is mainly on the side stuff and the notes, it isnt incentivizing to do them or read them, lack reward and notes can be quite dull at times to read unlike alan wake. It can be confusing at times and you need to have a full focus to not get lost the ending is good but could be better and for a lot of it to have more impact you need to read the notes which makes pacing worse.
Gameplay wise its decent. Thanks to the nature of the game, the mechanics make sense and are finely tuned, for the most part. The choreography and animations are nice. But it is very very flawed. You can have 2 forms equiped at once but most of them feel too boring or has a "but" to its mechanics and also are, very simple, sound design could be a lot better even if its serviceable. Powers are nice but there are very few of them, seize feels unrewarding, launch is good but a lot of times it has unintended behaviour (especially at puzzles), shield is situational a lot of times and slam is better to retreat rather than to attack. Puzzles are poorly made, a lot of times too easy and other times lack any intuitive explanation. Despite what i say it is decent and works but can get repetitive especially because it has a very little enemy variety.
Enviroments are interesting. Areas are presented very well and have a nice ammount of variety for both combat aspect and visual aspect. It has a lot of reflections so if your pc can handle high quality RT it can make the experience better (prioritize 60 fps over RT tho). It has destructable props which inmerses you when exploring the area but a lot of times it doesnt mean anything in combat, you can grab the chair sure but if enemy placement was better you could have a better showdown papers flying tables collapsing and nowhere to hide ripping coberture apart, unfortunately it remains quite simple due to the lack of better design.
Its a good game, it makes you apreciate it more if you played alan wake first. Its cheap on sale but best way to play it could be trough ps plus or gamepass unless you want to show remedy your support.
