Silent Hill 4: The Room7
Sep 12, 2026
I actually didn't mind most of the changes from the previous games. The first-person sections and the apartment mechanics were a nice change of pace, and the apartment in particular really shines during the second half. Some of those sections are really scary as hell. The limited inventory space was pretty annoying, and the second half of the game took a bit of a nosedive for me. Turning most of the game into one big escort mission was frustrating, even though I actually really liked Eileen as a character. The soundtrack is probably my least favorite of the series so far, but Room of Angels is still one of my favorite songs in the entire franchise.

Tekken's Nina Williams in: Death by Degrees6
Sep 10, 2026
The game is pretty mediocre overall. The combat controls, especially the way you have to use the analog sticks, can be a real pain in the ass. You do eventually get used to them, but the combat just dosen't feel good. The fixed camera angles don't help either and can make getting around more annoying than it needs to be. Some sections, like running through those damn corridors, were just frustrating. The X-Ray special moves are a pretty cool idea, though, and I did enjoy getting to learn a little more about Nina's backstory. Unfortunately, the rest of the story is pretty forgettable.

Silent Hill (1999)7
Sep 10, 2026
It's honestly impressive how this old PS1 game manages to create such an incredibly creepy and intense atmosphere. The fog, the environments, the sound design, and especially the music all come together perfectly to make the town feel genuinely unsettling. Sure, the controls are clunky as hell and the graphics look pretty outdated nowadays, but honestly, I think the dated graphics actually add to the overall creepiness.

Disney/Pixar Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue!7
Sep 10, 2026
I quite like the movie, so I'm glad its game adaptation turned out to be a pretty solid 3D platformer. I had a lot of fun exploring the levels and searching for all the collectibles. The music is also pretty good and fits the game. My only real complaint is the camera, which can be pretty annoying at times.

Contrast (2013)7
Sep 10, 2026
I really love the setting and overall aesthetics of this game. The whole shadow-based concept gives it a really unique visual **** ability to jump into shadows and basically switch between 3D and 2D platforming is definitely the highlight for me. It's a really cool idea and makes some of the puzzles quite interesting. It's a bit glitchy at times, though, and I think I even managed to skip a few puzzles by glitching my way up some walls. Dawn looks great, but she barely has any personality and doesn't say a single word throughout the entire game, which is a shame. The story itself was pretty okay, though.

A Hat in Time8
Sep 3, 2026
Man, this game was just fun as hell. I love everything about it. The levels are full of creativity and charm, the characters are hilarious, and the controls are absolutely fantastic. The movement in general feels so smooth and responsive, which makes exploring a ton of fun. The soundtrack is also just fantastic. Hat Kid is such an adorable character. I absolutely love her silly little expressions. One of the best 3D platformers I've ever played, and I had an absolute blast with it.

Super Mario Sunshine7
Aug 31, 2026
This game is such a mixed bag for me. I initially thought FLUDD would be an annoying gimmick, but I actually ended up enjoying it for the most part.Unfortunately the controls felt way too slippery at times, especially in the secret levels. Some of these sections are also brutally punishing and honestly feel like they were designed to make the experience as frustrating and unfun as possible.I like the sunny beach atmosphere and the soundtrack though.

Super Mario 648
Aug 31, 2026
Besides the REALLY uncooperative camera, this game still rules. It's honestly impressive how great Mario's movement feels (at least in my opinion, I know a lot of people would probably disagree.) The soundtrack is also absolutely fantastic, and I got hit by the nostalgia quite a few times while playing.

Syberia 37
Aug 31, 2026
It definitely didn't feel quite as magical as the first two games, and I can understand why the weird controls, awkward interaction points, and bugs turned a lot of people off. Luckily, I didn't run into nearly as many bugs as others apparently did, so I had a mostly smooth experience. That being said, I think this game gets a little too much hate. I still enjoyed the story, and most of the puzzles were pretty decent, aside from one or two incredibly obtuse ones. The soundtrack is also beautiful and does a great job of keeping that melancholic Syberia atmosphere. Definitely a step down from the first two games, but I still had a good time with it.

Kaze and the Wild Masks7
Aug 31, 2026
A fun little 2D platformer that is clearly inspired by the Donkey Kong Country games. The colorful visuals and fast-paced platforming make for a pretty enjoyable experience. The masks are definitely the highlight for me. Each one gives Kaze a different ability, which keeps the gameplay feeling fresh. The boss fights are fun overall, but they can get a little repetitive and drag on longer than necessary imo.

Mirror's Edge6
Aug 22, 2026
This game was just as fun as it was frustrating. The parkour is easily the highlight, and running, jumping, and wall-running through the city feels incredibly good. The combat, on the other hand, wasn't as enjoyable. The enemies can take you down surprisingly quickly, which can make some sections pretty frustrating.I did really like the time trial aspect, though. Being able to compete against other players and try to beat their times adds a nice challenge. I'm also a fan of the art style.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition8
Aug 20, 2026
A huge improvement over DMC 2. The boss fights can be pretty tough, but they were always satisfying and never felt unfair. The game also just feels great overall, with fantastic combat, a great variety of enemies.I especially loved Jester. He's easily one of my favorite characters in the game alongside Dante. Speaking of Dante, I'm very happy that his cocky and arrogant personality is back.

Devil May Cry 26
Aug 20, 2026
I don't think this game is as terrible as people make it out to be, but I still came away feeling pretty dissapointed. The story is incredibly weak, and Dante feels like a completely different character compared to the first game. He's much quieter, which unfortunately takes away a lot of the personality and charm that made him so entertaining before. The combat is still enjoyable enough, but it feels like a step down from DMC 1. The overall gameplay just isn't as satisfying, and the game feels like a watered-down version of its predecessor.

Devil May Cry7
Aug 20, 2026
Nowadays I know that Devil May Cry originally started out as a prototype for Resident Evil 4, but when I played it for the first time I was surprised by how this game almost felt like a survival horror game. The slower, more atmospheric style actually works really well, and the gothic setting is also really cool. The combat is fun, especially considering how old the game is.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc9
Aug 16, 2026
What an absolute banger of a visual novel. The murder mystery story is incredibly engaging and filled with twists, suspense, and plenty of moments that caught me off guard. Since it's a visual novel, there's obviously A LOT of reading involved, and there isn't a huge amount of traditional gameplay. Thankfully, the investigations and Class Trials add some neat gameplay elements, and I especially enjoyed the little minigames during the trials. Being able to freely explore the school also helps keep things feeling a bit more fresh. The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic as well and does a great job of setting the mood, whether things are funny, sad or tense.

Cris Tales8
Aug 15, 2026
A really charming little turn-based RPG with a beautiful art style and a pretty unique time mechanic. Being able to shift enemies between their past, present, and future forms during battles can lead to some really cool effects. Seeing something as simple as a Goblin turn into an old Goblin in the future was always fun. The game also looks gorgeous, and I really liked that the entire game is voice acted. The soundtrack is fantastic as well and fits the colorful world perfectly. That said, I do have a few complaints. There were several moments where characters would still appear in the background even though they shouldn't have been there anymore. For example, characters would be standing around in a location during an earlier battle, only to still be there during a later fight even though they had already left. It made the world feel a little less believable and honestly came across as a bit lazy.I also feel like the time mechanic could have been explored even further. It's a really cool concept, but I sometimes felt like the game didn't quite make as much use of it as it could have. Despite all my nitpicking, I still had a really good time with Cris Tales. It's a charming RPG with a gorgeous presentation and a genuinely interesting gameplay mechanic.

18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker5
Jul 30, 2026
At its core, it's a pretty fun arcade racer. The truck controls are surprisingly solid, and switching to the cockpit view actually gives you a nice sense of being behind the wheel. It's easy to pick up, fun to play, but I kinda wish the time limit wasn't so strict. I would've enjoyed it a lot more if it let you take your time a bit.

Silent Hill 2 (2001)9
Jul 30, 2026
Silent Hill 2 is an incredibly fascinating game. I absolutely love how deep, complex, and tragic the characters and story are, and how much room there is for your own interpretation of everything. The symbolism behind the characters and creatures makes the experience even more interesting.I honestly didn't expect the game to make me tear up, but the entire final act hit me surprisingly **** atmosphere is phenomenal, and the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. Compared to the first game, the music is less chaotic and aggressive, but it still creates a constant sense of unease. Some of the tracks are also genuinely beautiful and have stuck with me long after finishing the **** only real complaints are the camera and controls, which can be a little clunky at times.

Beacon Pines8
Jul 30, 2026
Beacon Pines does a great job of balancing a cute and charming atmosphere with surprisingly serious and even slightly dark moments. It manages to switch between wholesome, funny, and unsettling without ever feeling out of place. The story kept me intrigued from beginning to end, and I really liked the lovely art style. My favorite mechanic was unlocking new words throughout the adventure and using them to rewrite the story and explore different outcomes. It's a clever idea that makes experimenting with different paths genuinely fun. A charming little narrative adventure that deserves far more attention than it gets.

Alien Resurrection6
Jul 19, 2026
Definitely an improvement over Alien Trilogy, but it's still a very difficult game with controls that feel quite clunky by today's standards. I only managed to make it about halfway through before calling it quits. The facehuggers are absolutely awful to deal with and are easily among the most annoying enemies I've ever encountered in a game. What really kept me going, though, was the atmosphere. The game does an excellent job of making you feel constantly tense.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire8
Jul 19, 2026
I absolutely love the rubber hose cartoon art style. Combined with the jazzy soundtrack, it gives the game so much charm and personality. Jack Pepper also really grew on me over time and ended up being a fun protagonist. The gameplay is a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the variety of weapons the game throws at you. That said, mowing down wave after wave of enemies started to feel a little repetitive after a while.Even so, I had a great time with it. A charming run-and-gun with a fantastic presentation and plenty of style.

Jul 19, 2026
This game is such an adorable and beautiful little gem. The atmosphere and music are absolutely spot on, and I loved how much attention was put into making the little details of this world feel alive. THe cat itself is obviously the star of the show. The animations are incredibly cute, and the movement feels surprisingly fluid and smooth. The gameplay might not be for everyone since it's quite easy and relaxed, but I had a fantastic time with it. Sometimes a game doesn't need to be challenging to be memorable.

Syberia II7
Jun 21, 2026
There's something almost magical about the Syberia games. Maybe it's the beautiful soundtrack, the gorgeous snowy landscapes, or the melancholic atmosphere, but they always leave me feeling strangely calm. This is a very slow-paced adventure, and I can definitely understand why some people might find it boring. Not a lot of exciting things happen, and the game is more interested in atmosphere and its journey than constant action or big twists. Some of the puzzles are also far too obtuse for my liking and can feel nearly impossible without a guide. The long walks through large areas occasionally make the pacing feel even slower.Despite its flaws, I found it to be another charming and atmospheric adventure that perfectly captures the unique vibe of the series.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion9
Jun 21, 2026
Zack is such a lovable dork, and his interactions with Aerith are just wholesome. His bittersweet story never fails to hit me right in the heart. Fantasy VII universe. The main story is surprisingly short, but there's a huge number of optional missions for anyone who wants to spend more time with the game.Reunion looks great, the remixed soundtrack is fantastic, and the combat feels much smoother and more enjoyable than it did in the original PSP version.

The game is pretty janky and far from the best fighting game ever made, but it still managed to provide a few fun rounds. A fun curiosity for fans of Arena fighting games and Final Fantasy VII.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin8
Jun 12, 2026
The combat is where the game truly shines. It could be frustrating at times, but the wide variety of jobs kept things fresh and made experimenting with different playstyles a lot of **** story was decent overall. It didn't fully hook me until the later stages, but once it did, I became much more invested and ended up really liking the ending.Jack is a very weird protagonist. His constant "I don't give a damn" attitude made some scenes feel awkward, but it was also incredibly entertaining.I also enjoyed the soundtrack, especially the many subtle references and motifs from other Final Fantasy games.

Jun 11, 2026
I probably understood only half of the crazy story and will have to watch a few explanation videos later, but I was still completely hooked by it. The cold, eerie atmosphere and the overall vibe kept pulling me deeper into the mystery.I also loved the live-action videos featuring Dr. Casper Darling. They were easily some of my favorite parts of the game. The gameplay was decent overall. The various powers and weapons were fun to use, but the combat started to wear on me after a while. It didn't help that some of the bosses felt like bullet sponges and dragged on much longer than they needed to.

A very atmospheric point-and-click adventure with a unique vibe of its own. The beautiful soundtrack has a strong melancholic tone that gives the entire game a **** and somewhat cozy atomsphere. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition7
Jun 11, 2026
This game was a ton of fun and pure action from start to finish. Even though shooters aren't really my genre, I had a great time with it. The skillshot system was easily my favorite part of the game and made the combat much more entertaining. I also really enjoyed using the sniper rifle. The characters were all pretty unlikeable macho dudes, but the story was decent enough for the type of game it is and served its purpose.

God of War III Remastered9
Jun 11, 2026
God of War II set the bar pretty damn high, but God of War III still managed to surpass it in almost every way, in my opinion.Kratos is an absolute menace in this game, and I loved every second of it. It's pretty damn brutal, to the point where I almost felt sorry for the gods. The different gods were all memorable, and taking them on was incredibly satisfying. The story was a great conclusion to the Greek saga, and the gameplay remained as fun and addictive as ever. The best game in the Greek trilogy and a fantastic finale.

God of War II9
May 15, 2026
Another absolutely epic adventure with Kratos, and honestly an improvement over the first game in almost every way. The original was already great, but this sequel feels more polished, and smoother. The combat is easily one of the biggest improvements. The controls feel tighter, combos flow better, and the overall pacing of fights is much more satisfying. There’s a really good balance between brutal hack-and-slash action, magic abilities, and larger cinematic moments, which keeps the gameplay constantly exciting instead of repetitive. The game also throws a lot more enemy variety at you, so fights rarely become **** boss battles in particular are incredible. The scale of some encounters is just ridiculous in the best possible way, and the game constantly tries to outdo itself with bigger and more over-the-top set pieces. The thing I appreciated a lot is that the platforming and puzzle sections feel much less frustrating this time around. The first game occasionally had moments that dragged a bit, but here the pacing feels far smoother overall, which made the adventure more enjoyable from start to finish. The final stretch of the game was super hype and did a fantastic job building anticipation for God of War III. It really feels like the perfect setup for an even bigger finale.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage8
May 15, 2026
I ended up liking this game a lot more than I expected. It definitely starts off pretty slow, and I completely understand why the cheesy teen drama vibe could be off-putting for some people, but once the story really gets going, I became surprisingly invested in both the characters and their stories. The biggest strength of the game is easily the friendship between the girls. Their interactions feel natural enough that the emotional moments later on actually land, and by the end I was way more emotionally attached to the story than I initially thought I’d be. The game takes its time building that connection, which might test some people’s patience early on, but for me it paid off in the long run.I also really loved the whole 90s atmosphere. The music, fashion, dialogue, and overall presentation create this nostalgic coming-of-age vibe that fits the story perfectly. One of my favorite mechanics was filming random things with the camcorder. It’s such a small idea, but it adds a personal and immersive touch to the experience and makes exploring feel more meaningful. That said, the game definitely has some technical issues. I ran into quite a few weird graphical glitches during my playthrough. Most of them were just distracting, but one bug near the end accidentally made an emotional scene unintentionally hilarious, which kinda killed the mood for a moment. It wasn’t enough to ruin the experience for me, but it’s definitely something the developers should patch.Overall, a surprisingly emotional and atmospheric narrative adventure with strong character writing, great nostalgic vibes, and a story that slowly but surely pulls you in — even if the technical problems occasionally get in the way

DOOM (1993)8
May 15, 2026
I honestly spent the longest time thinking this type of game just wasn’t for me, but holy hell, I ended up loving this way more than I expected. Even today, the game still feels incredibly fun to play because of how fast, aggressive, and satisfying everything is.Despite its age, the combat still feels surprisingly smooth and **** of course, the soundtrack absolutely rules. The music gives every fight this huge burst of adrenaline and makes mowing through hordes of demons unbelievably satisfying. Some tracks genuinely feel like pure chaos in audio form, in the best possible way. What surprised me most is how well the game’s design still holds up. Sure, visually it’s obviously dated, but the core gameplay is so strong that it barely matters once you get into the flow. You can immediately see why this game became so legendary and influential.Overall, an insanely fun and timeless shooter that still delivers pure adrenaline decades later. Fast-paced gameplay, incredible music, satisfying combat, and nonstop energy from beginning to end.

Paradise Killer8
May 15, 2026
Man, this game just has so much style. The combination of surreal visuals, strange lore, neon-soaked environments, and bizarre characters creates such a distinct atmosphere that it’s hard not to get pulled into its world. In its core, it’s an open-world murder mystery where you investigate the deaths of several council members on a weird island populated by immortal beings, cultists, and all kinds of eccentric personalities. What I really loved is that the game doesn’t constantly hold your hand. You’re free to explore at your own pace, gather evidence, question suspects, and piece the mystery together yourself. It genuinely makes you feel like a detective instead of just following quest markers from one cutscene to the next. The characters were easily one of the biggest highlights for me. Almost everyone you meet is weird, suspicious and charismatic and I ended up getting surprisingly invested in their stories and relationships. The writing does a great job balancing humor, mystery, and the game’s absurd lore without becoming overwhelming. Then there’s the soundtrack… absolutely incredible. The music perfectly matches the dreamy, retro-futuristic vibe of the island and gives the entire game this relaxing yet mysterious energy. I honestly could’ve just wandered around listening to the soundtrack for hours.

As Dusk Falls8
May 15, 2026
Really awesome narrative-driven game with a unique presentation style. Instead of traditional character models and animations, the game mostly uses still images of real actors, which honestly works surprisingly well. The story itself was super engaging from start to finish, and the biggest strength of the game is definitely how much weight your decisions carry. A lot of choice-based games give the illusion of control, but here you genuinely feel the consequences of what you say and do. Relationships between characters can completely change depending on your actions, and some moments become incredibly tense because you know a single bad decision can spiral into something disastrous.Gameplay-wise, it’s heavily focused on dialogue choices and QTEs, so if you’re not a fan of quick-time events or interactive movie-style games, this probably won’t be your thing. There isn’t much traditional gameplay outside of making decisions and reacting during key moments.

Midnight Fight Express7
May 15, 2026
Pretty cool isometric beat ’em up with a neat combat and skill system. At first glance it looks fairly simple, but once you start unlocking more abilities and chaining together dodges, counters, throws, and environmental attacks, the fights become super satisfying and stylish. There’s a nice sense of progression too, especially when you begin experimenting with different builds and techniques instead of just button mashing your way through. The game does suffer a bit from repetitive level and character design, though. A lot of the environments and enemy types start blending together after a while, which makes some sections feel less memorable than they could’ve been. Still, the combat is strong enough to carry the experience, and I liked that the customization options let you somewhat create your own version of the protagonist. The absolute highlight was the insanely good EDM soundtrack. The music gives the fights so much energy and really elevates the whole vibe of the game. It perfectly matches the fast, brutal action and made even some of the weaker levels more enjoyable. Overall, a very stylish and fun beat ’em up that could’ve used a little more visual variety.

Kathy Rain: Director's Cut8
Mar 29, 2026
Kathy Rain is a really solid point-and-click adventure with a gripping mystery at its core. If you’re into story-driven games, this one definitely delivers. The narrative pulls you in right from the start, and I especially liked how it slowly leans into a deeper, more supernatural direction than I initially expected. It caught me off guard in a good way. The pixel art style is genuinely beautiful and fits the tone perfectly, giving the whole game a moody atmosphere. On top of that, the game is fully voice acted, and the performances are actually really good. Puzzle-wise, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me. Most of them are satisfying, but a few can feel a little too cryptic or **** in all, I had a great time with Kathy Rain. It’s a well-crafted mystery adventure with strong atmosphere, great presentation, and a story that keeps you hooked until the end. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy classic point-and-click games.

It’s a bit short and nothing too special in the realm of Action RPGs, but still a decent game. It can be a bit difficult if you don’t grind early on. The gameplay is fairly straightforward: defeat enemies, level up and buy better equipment in towns. The mechanics are simple but enjoyable enough, even if they never evolve much throughout the adventure. The soundtrack is decent as well, though not particularly memorable. Cadash is a solid but fairly unremarkable Action RPG that’s still worth checking out if you enjoy early console RPG hybrids.

Jan 3, 2026
Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a really lovely little entry in the series. The agent-style combat adds a slick new layer to an already fun and satisfying combat system. As a spin-off, It’s definitely on the shorter side, but the story still pulled me in from start to finish. The ending somehow managed to warm and completely break my heart at the same time. On top of that, the soundtrack is seriously great and does a wonderful job of selling both the hype and the emotional moments. A small but emotional and very memorable experience.
