Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a fantastic revival of classic fighting games with modern training tools and online features, but it falls just short of perfection due to the controversial CvS2 EO ranked standard and lack of cross-play.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 completes the journey, and opens the door for new chapters. The interest alone in these games shows that Capcom still has a hadouken or two left. We are in fighting game heaven right now. Enjoy yourselves.
From all-time classics to underrated gems, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is robust enough to not only please avid Capcom fans but also newer players who want to experience some of the company’s older games.
A more obscure collection than the original, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 nevertheless features some absolute classics from yesteryear , along with first time re-releases that will appeal to the most hardcore of classic Capcom fans. And look, it features Power Stone 2, so that's more than worth the price of entry.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 bundles up another eight classic games from the developer's back catalogue, and while some have aged worse than others, there's still plenty of fun to be had overall. Highlights here include Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 and Power Stone 2, but it's just a shame there's still no crossplay.
For just €39.99, you get four 2D and four 3D Capcom fightinggame classics with rollback netcode and some handy extras. Some of the games in Capcom Fighting Collection 2 feel a bit redundant, but the games run smoothly and deliver what fans expect.
It's true that you have to pay a lot to have access to several games from the past, which should be cheaper, but Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is still an alternative and a correct way to preserve games that are so important and loved by fans.
minimum effort, all the games miss their additionnal features. No difficulty settings, no ingame menus, noone playing online, Trophy list is stupid (finish the games with all characters, jesus this is boring) Don't get it wrong, all original games of this collection deserved more but this collection is definitly taking customers for idiots. Where are the minigames of Justice Gakuen, the worl tour of SFA3 etc... I'm not even surePowerstone is playable with 4.... I'm really sad they didn't make any effort for all those games of my childhood on dreamcast.
