Cabernet is a captivating character-driven narrative RPG that sinks in its fangs and doesn’t let go. The best story veins are reserved for the individuals you meet rather than the world at large, but with characters as well-written as these, you’ll want to drink in every last drop.

Cabernet is an exceedingly creative adventure, introducing role-playing elements that suit its phantasmal themes. The lovely, stylized graphics, engaging story, choice-based gameplay, and terrific voice acting all combine to produce an experience for gamers (especially vampire enthusiasts) that shouldn’t be missed.

Issues aside, Cabernet is an incredible RPG. The concept of comparing vampirism to addiction is nothing new, but framing that storyline within the real-world history of the middle class during the 19th century adds a compelling undercurrent to Liza's story and the various people she befriends, betrays, and smooches during her struggle to come to grips with her new existence. The consequences of Liza's actions feel impactful, and seeing each character's arc all the way through is narratively fulfilling. This is the level of quality that stories about vampires should strive for.

Cabernet is a game with a lot of heart. It puts so much work into establishing the eastern-European setting, the vampire lore and all of its wonderful characters, which all have impressive voice acting that makes the story more emotional throughout. While the game does certainly lack a little polish in spots, it’s a highly engaging story that’s more than worth sinking your teeth into.

Cabernet is a completely unique vampire story and it's really unlike anything else I've ever played. Party For Introverts has somewhat out of nowhere delivered perhaps the most original title of the year and has also executed it all with brilliance.

As a lover of narrative adventure games, I really enjoyed this. A clever twist on the vampire genre, there were lots of inventive plot twists, interesting character arcs, choices that matter. Much like the countdown to sunlight each day, the game itself creates a sense of urgency. It always felt like the clock was ticking....that it was going to be over soon or a window of time for each quest was going to close, and that I wasn't going to get all the things done that I wanted to get done. You have to read books to get your stats up (arts, literature, history, science) and you are locked out of certain dialogue options if they aren't at the level they need to be. In most games now (especially the Bethesda kind), your choices don't matter -- and you can do everything you want to do in one playthrough. Good games inspire multiple playthroughs by NOT letting you do "all the things" - leaving you to wonder What If? Loved this game - highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good story, great characters and some tough choices? The only negative might be that the voice actors were sometimes not the greatest -- but that's also kinda charming because that usually means that this game was someone's passion project, enlisting people they know to do some of the smaller parts. An excellent AA game - reminded me a bit of Yes, Your Grace. Really enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved the game !! The characters, the stories, the quests and their consequences ...everything is amazing !! I loved how they made all these possible just in 2D .Imagine how great it would've been if the game was in 3D. And also the aspect of playing in sanity mode without actually harming others is very great. The relationship building in between the characters through quests was also top-notch. Overall, everything was so good and I would definitely recommend this game to someone who is into novel type games and also loves vampires. This one would be a must for them !! But one thing for the devs...Consider giving more flexibility with game saves as there are too many options to choose from and so much possibilities with the gameplay choices. Quick load and save would be much appreciated as it will help the players experience every choices more easily as they could just quick save one option and then load if the choice didn't exactly matched their intention and continue on playing.

I wish the game was a bit longer which resulted in a rushed feeling while playing the game. thats the only negative i could think of. The story was fun en the world was interesting. Was an ideal game to play on steam deck
