4- OK. The original AC is nostalgic to me and still pretty fun… i would have thought back then that this would serve as a rich foundation for a masterclass game series, so knowing what has become of AC now, it being a series that is honestly content with its own mediocrity, is sad to me. AC is middle of the road, not falling in the pitfalls of some of the series les favored titles, but is also dull compared to the better games that came afterward.

for 2007 this game is very good and honestly compared to some of the newer games in the series it still has this charm that the newer games do not provide, good parkour map but repetitive side content, and decent story

Finished the game 5 times And recently on xbox series x with huge enhancements 4k native + 60fps (fps boost feature) This game is just perfect in everything and especially the graphics for a 2007 game Great Atmosphere and combat system Ubisoft cooked so good on this game

Some aspects of the gameplay can be quite questionable in the sense that I feel like this is something that would be made in 2001 with how repetitive the mission structure is. But it was made in 2007. However, the story is pretty engaging and interesting to follow. Altair starts out arrogant and progresses to a mature individual. It’s quite satisfying of an arc and he’s one of the greatest AC characters. The graphics have also aged pretty well for a game made in 2007.

Being the first game, the lack of translation or graphical improvements should be disregarded, but the game is quite long and interesting.

Mejor que la segunda entrega (donde terminan confirmando las sospechas) y peor que la cuarta entrega (donde subvierten el molde para crear un juego decente, aunque regido por las limitaciones del sistema AC).

Groundbreaking at the time. One of my first games for the console and it was absolutely worth it.

The first AC game set up the template for future installments, but suffers from repetition. It still looks great in action and has a good story. But the missions types are limited to only a few types. It's too bad the open-world environment isn't filled with dozens of activities. Still, the game is worth playing if you're a fan of "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". I'd rate it with an 8 out of 10.

Muito bom jogo, precisa de remeke a historia muito boa, o personagem incrível e a ligação entre o mundo moderno e o passado e muito bom.

This game is my personal favourite of the series. It offers the same freedom as the other entries in the franchise, with a more enjoyable challenge. It truly feels like a classic AC game. One letdown is that it doesn't feature memorable characters like Ezio, Leonardo Da Vinci, or Edward Kenway. 4/5 stars.

Honestly still a good/decent video game. I do think it has aged a bit poorly as their underwhelming design of the missions is poor. The story however is really engaging and the stealth, while limited works well.

So fun to play even if the gameplay is a little old and the graphics too but the story and environement turns it into a great game

Game Review: Assassin’s Creed (2007) The start of something legendary The first Assassin’s Creed isn’t just a game—it’s the beginning of a legacy. Released back in 2007, it laid the foundation for one of the most iconic franchises in gaming history. Looking at it today, it’s easy to see the cracks, but it’s just as easy to appreciate the ambition and innovation it brought to the table. Let’s start with what works: the setting and atmosphere are still impressive. The recreation of the Holy Land—Acre, Damascus, and Jerusalem—is detailed and immersive for its time, and the way the game blends historical fiction with science fiction through the Animus and Desmond’s storyline is genuinely intriguing. Altair, the main assassin, might not be the most developed character, but his story flows well and has a few solid twists—especially at the end, which hits with an unexpected (but welcome) shift. That said, the gameplay does show its age. While the first few missions feel fresh and exciting, the structure quickly becomes repetitive: climb a viewpoint, save a citizen, gather intel, kill the target—repeat. Doing this over and over, especially when there aren’t that many cities, starts to feel more like a checklist than an adventure. After the sixth or seventh assassination, it becomes less about enjoying the process and more about finishing the job. Then there’s the parkour, which was groundbreaking for its time but can be clunky by today’s standards. Combine that with occasional performance bugs (like freezing or jittery animations), and frustration can creep in. But even with its flaws, Assassin’s Creed is a milestone. It had a clear vision, a fresh approach to storytelling, and gameplay ideas that would go on to be refined in later titles. You can feel that it's the “pilot episode” of a much larger saga—and it absolutely succeeds at making you want more. Verdict: A flawed but fascinating start. A solid first chapter, even more considered the release year. The parkour is a bit slow but really deep, with Altair trying to balance himself while he climbs. The story is intresting but the ending is very underwhelming. A solid 7.4, rounded down to a seven. Still recommended today as 2025

Tried to play it recently. Controls are unrefined & the plot, while interesting, isn't nearly as fleshed out as the rest of the trilogy.

At the time when the game was released, it was one of the best, now not everyone can go because of the graphics

y ayant joué à sa sortie, c'était une vraie claque et une réelle innovation. L'opus qui posera les bases d'une franchise devenue mythique. Il est vrai qu'il est repoussant d'y jouer de nos jours un remake serait le bienvenu. La note de 10 n'est pas envisageable car on sent que c'était un prototype, maladroit sur certains aspects mais fondateur tout de même. On sentira l'aboutissement et le perfectionnement avec l'opus d'après, assassin's creed 2.

Went in with quite low expectations due to the age of the game, but the game has held up really well with its world, art style and combat. The story and content however is incredibly repetitive and shallow, with its forgettable characters and the same four side missions repeated in order to unlock an assassination. The NPCs saying the same voice lines over and over also gets stupidly annoying. Overall though I think it’s worth giving a go if you’re into the other games or into history.

Definately the worst out of the mainline games for me. Horrifically boring gameplay loop, aged control scheme, and dull characters. Play it if you want, but i'd skip it. This scuffed introduction to a great series is in desperate need of a remake.

Worst game I have ever witnessed. Complete disaster. It should be considered as a technological weapon to mankind. If you wanna torture your enemy, this game is what you need. Just tie them to a chair and force them to play this game just like in clockwork orange and watch them suffer. It should be destroyed from our planet.

Первую часть можно простить из за сжатых сроков и сложности разработки новой системы для того времени паркура, но...у них было 3 года, и они неграмотно распределили ресурсы на разработку, ту же большую локацию "Королевство" можно полностью вырезать, при этом ничего особо не изменится, саму игру можно было сделать короче, но при этом приключенческой, не давая успевать надоедать. У меня двоякое впечатление от игры, поэтому ставлю 7, вот не дожали игру, можно было бы сделать лучше, сама игра не плохая, но в техническом плане устарела, и я говорю про отзывчивость и меню, на счёт графики у меня претензий нет, выглядит отлично даже сейчас.

I am very late to this game, but so glad I finally got to play it. The overall story was interesting and the more I played the more intreguing it became. In camparison to a lot of games I've played, the controls weren't the greatest, however this is easily overlookable due to its release date and the fact that it doesn't really effect the game too much. Naturally there were some annoyances, but after finishing the game, they quickly forgotten.

THE BEST ASSASSIN'S CREED GAME EVER, It all started from here, and ruined/ended at that Odyssey game.

When playing AC again I knew going in this was mostly for nostalgia purposes, I knew the game was going to be dated, however what really upset me wasn't the age of the game but the things that it managed to do better compared to the sequels. Slowly giving us abilities that we unlock made picking fights more interactive compared to the massive arsenal of we get in later AC games. the story still has that sense of mystery before AC 2 would ruin it with the whole "Those that came before" plot. The setting of Assassin's Creed 1 is by far my favorite of the series. And is one of the few games my mom enjoys playing as well. But of the Desmond games AC 1 feels the worst to play today.

Re-jugado en 2023 en Xbox Series X. Ha envejecido muy bien este juego, fue el precursor de todos los juegos que vendrían después. Hay una elaborada tensión para realizar los asesinatos que se fue perdiendo en siguientes entregas. Acre se sigue viendo espectacular, el juego tiene un tono de colores con muy poco contraste que le da mucha personalidad.

We all know that at the time AC 1 released it was game changing experience but i didnt liked the first AC game because the mechanics were outdated when I played but It had some interesting story and a memorable main character.

Très bon jeu, mais très répétitif. L'histoire nous met très bien en haleine pour les autres opus.
