Army Men: Air Attack 2
The only real problem is that it doesn't go too far out of its way to differentiate itself from either its predecessor or any other game in the genre.
The thrill of dodging missiles and gunfire coming at you from every direction, then retaliating with a few missiles of your own and watching their plastic bodies blow rarely gets old.
The much-improved PS2 version flies mighty high with spectacular visuals and improved gameplay.

If you were born in the 90s, then you must have heard about the "Army Men" series. If not, then it's a series of video games where plastic soldiers are fighting each other. You may also have heard about how terrible the games were, but there were a few exceptions. And the Air Attack series is one of them. Haven't played the first one, but this game is not only not bad, but actually a good game in its own right. First, you're flying a toy army helicopter. Isn't that cool? I mean, attacking the evil tan army, insects and other toys in a toy Cobra, Chinook, Osprey or Apache is awesome. Gameplay is just fun and challenging. The story is nothing spectacular, but it was okay. Find this game. You'll love it. Somebody better make an HD remake of this underrated gem.

The game also has replay value up the wazoo. Not only do you get to storm through 25 levels of insanity, but you have many extras to unlock as well.

A well crafted game that pays respects to its franchise, drawing strength from it rather than using it as a prop. More like this please Trip.

Although it briefly brought back memories of the classic "Jungle Strike" and even "Chopper Attack," it felt like a rehash of the older Air Attack game – and it is. But this rehash doesn’t even have enough spark to keep you interested for very long.

We wouldn't eBay one of our internal organs to own this game, but it is fun enough to be worth the price of admission.

My biggest complaints here are that level variety is good, but not great. There are occasion levels that are pleasureable, but just as soon as you get excited again, the next level is boring again.

Its lack of innovation may be acceptable, since Air Attack 2 for the PlayStation was a thoroughly enjoyable game, but unfortunately a few key graphical flaws make it a significantly less enjoyable game.

SummaryThe first appearance of the little plastic "Army Men" on the PS2 is the sequel to arguably the best game of the series. Captain Blade and his helicopter copilots in the Alpha Wolf Squadron blast their way through the tan army during over two dozen missions.
