Even if “The Day of the Jackal” feels stretched too thin in some places, it still manages to be an exciting thrill ride. Credit to Redmayne and writer Ronan Bennett who’ve not only created a compelling anti-hero but also ancillary characters whose fate matters.

Rivera does an admirable job of showing Hernandez’s many sides. Still, much of what is here is either a retread of previous documentaries or not compelling enough to merit a 10-episode miniseries.

Despite not always being a compelling mystery, “Presumed Innocent” makes up for it in spades with a fantastic ensemble and a captivating feud between two egotistical lawyers. This is David E. Kelley working in the register he excels at: a legal thriller with just enough interpersonal relationship drama and a touch of mystery.

Despite “X-Men ‘97” leaning too hard into heavier drama, this is an excellent continuation of a fan-favorite series. .... “X-Men ‘97” is the real deal.

While Rapace and Banks were expected to be the main draw of this series, and they’re excellent, the performances from Davina and Rosie Coleman are the glue that holds it together. But despite these moving performances, “Constellation” spends too much time floating aimlessly. The show likes to believe it's clever, but the reality is that it often falls flat.

For a series that has been adapted so many times, it’s refreshing to see a new take on the material. Despite some issues regarding the recycled plot elements, “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” has assembled a dream team of collaborators with Science Saru, Anamanaguchi, and the original voice cast of the live-action movie to bring this Japanese Anime to life.

If a hard science-fiction mystery show is what you’ve been looking for, then “Silo” more than fits the bill. Ferguson’s Juliette is the full package, a hard-hitting hero with plenty of range to carry the dramatic parts with equal power. Not to be outdone is a fantastic supporting cast that makes even the briefest of appearances memorable.

As a remaking of an essential erotic thriller, there’s not much thrill to be found.

“Daisy Jones & the Six” takes what works in the best-selling novel and smartly makes minor adjustments to the material where needed.

Viewers returning to the “Cowboy Bebop” franchise with fond memories for the anime might enjoy their favorite episodes receiving the live-action treatment even with the above caveats, but those turning in for the first time will likely be left wondering why this was a big deal.
