Every character in That Night is deeply flawed in some way or another, and their moments of humanity never necessarily redeem them, but instead paint a holistic, contemplative portrait of a person struggling between their morality and their love. Within this gray area is where the show hits its stride, where its capacity to enthrall using two seemingly tired thriller tropes resides.

Even though Season 9's experiment doesn't quite mesh well with the show, the standalone episodes themselves are interesting and humorous enough to feel like a typical joyride through space and time, Rick and Morty-style.

Their experimentation with the camerawork and editing is certainly going in the show's favor, and the storylines are as gritty and bloody as we've come to expect. Criminal Minds is proving that it still has tricks up its sleeves and remains relevant within today's streaming churn.

Season 2 has forged its identity and hit a stride that elicits more excitement for the future of Pip's story, especially with the promise of Myers carrying her character's emotional growth and conflicts to the end.

Nemesis is still enjoyable and offers some unforgettable action sequences with daring performances; it just needs some more fine-tuning to pull off the perfect heist.

From Season 4 may not be as exciting or tumultuous as past seasons, but it holds value in the wider scheme of the show.

It's a shame that XO, Kitty didn't manage to maintain the momentum created in Season 2, and instead returns to the formulaic, forced nature of Season 1.

The show will leave you writhing in discomfort at every moment, whether it's because you're cringing at all-too-relatable interactions or are lost in the dizzying kaleidoscope of too-wide smiles and palpable fear.

Despite some mishaps in the first episodes, 56 Days knows exactly where it's going and how much it wants to break viewers' hearts while getting there.

What Vanished manages to do with genre staples is inspired, even if it does leave a bitter aftertaste.
