It finally gives Nicolas Cage the kind of lead superhero role (eccentric, weird, and aptly quaint) he's meant for. If there's any hallmark here, it's his committed (if slightly restrained) performance that could've been much better with a bolder and less derivative script altogether.

I can't speak for every fan, but "Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair" is almost every bit as delightful, bonkers, and mad fun as the original was.

Ultimately, "Paradise" rides on masterfully constructed mysteries and beautifully drawn characters, and those still abound in Season 2. And so do the twists

Your mileage might differ more than ever before, but the various fundamentals that made "Primal" one of the best adult animated series ever can all be found here, in this last bloody, vicious, yet hopeful prehistoric journey.

Overall, "The Copenhagen Test" will likely serve as nothing more than a pit stop in all of these actors' careers, utterly forgettable and hardly worth mentioning.

It does have a decent story structure and execution, but also a sameness to other similar series in the genre that makes it impossible for it to stand out in any real way. It's just another installment to an IP that will likely satisfy die-hard fans of Stephen King's novel (and its numerous adaptations who are hungry for more details and backstories, but barely anybody else who isn't as obsessed and devoted to it.

There's a limit to how long Olivia Cooke and Robin Wright can entertain with their tremendous acting chops — and they're truly terrific — before the truth inevitably comes to the surface. .... When the finale arrives, you feel like you've been cheated and set up for a climax that fails to deliver on any level. The final note the show ends on feels as if it was ripped from some of the worst psychological thrillers from the '90s.

As much as I enjoyed learning about Hawaii's past, the dragging, uneventful, and repetitive conflicts in "Chief of War" surely undercut the experience. That's despite the generally stellar performances — particularly by Jason Momoa, Temuera Morrison, and Luciane Buchanan, who might be the revelation of the series (she's fierce, dazzling, and fiery at 5'2") — and a lived-in atmosphere (the island's beauty is breathtaking) that sadly falters by an uninspired execution.

Ultimately, "Sirens" is another casualty of the bloated runtime of a story that should've been a two-hour movie at best. It would've worked better as a tighter, less sprawling piece, and should've focused more on the banality of its subject matter.
