Astro Bot is a love letter not only to 30 years of Playstation, but also to gaming. It is a platformer really well crafted, with tons of charm, magic, and soul. Solid gameplay, outstanding music, **** cameos thst I never expected to see here. Also the use of the DualSense haptics is outstanding. I wish more games could benefit from this feature, hopefully this inspire other developers, as it makes it a compeletely immersing experience. This game should be considered in the GOTY conversation without a doubt! I hope higher ups are paying attention, as this is what gaming is about. Astro Bot is a celebration of this industry!

Stellar Blade on Playstation 5 is an absolute gem! With stellar (no pun intended) production values, incredible music, and addictive gameplay, it's a thrilling ride from start to finish. Pros: Character design, style, quest and sidequests, great looking characters, enemy design, enemy variety, animation, music and combat! Neutral: heavy influence of Nier Automata. Con: Adam's voice acting. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and hope to see more games of this type and caliber in the future. One of the most satisfying things is the final product, they delivered a complete game, with a really great lenght (30 hrs), and in a really polished state, no DLC, no bugs. More studios should take a hint at this. What a nice surprise this game resulted to be! Definitely will continue playing this game for a long time, as the combat is incredibly well implemented and one of the most addictive combat systems I've played!

Bigger and better in everything. The original game was already a jewel, but this one surpasses its predecessor in everything, bigger scope, the world is incredible, really polished. The character models are impressive, not only the main character but the NPC, enemies, wildlife, vegetation, etc. Also really impressed with the facial expressions and animation, the body language, everything. Incredible game. GOTY contender without a doubt.

I don't buy the game every year, the last game I bought was Madden 17 and still it disappoint me. It is incredible that I l skipped 4 years and they deliver a worse game that the one I had years ago. Madden 21 is without any significant improvements, same problems, they recycle the same game, take features out, add a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with football. Not to mention that the game is using the worst monetization system I've ever seen. They charge you upfront for a full game, and then lock everything behind microtransactions and packs that cost more and give you less than a season pass. It's an abuse, incredible how can get along with this.

Friday the 13th: The Game

User Scorezamorian79

At this point I'd say that the game deserve like a 7.5 or an 8. I was curious about this genre from some time ago, I enjoy watching streams of Dead by Deadlight, but the fact that a Friday the 13th was getting a new game made me jump into this one ASAP! I didn't get to play the beta, but I pre-ordered the game and played it as soon as it was available at midnight.. My experience has been great, the game is tons of fun, me and the strangers that I've found on random parties are having a great time doing all kind of jokes, screams, laughs, drama, etc. It has been a wonderful experience. Since last friday I've played 15 hours, that is way too much by my personal standar. I read about the database loggin error that make people ask for refunds a day after it was released and yes, it happened, I got the error but it was not nearly as bad as people was saying. I got that error on Saturday at 11 pm until they fix it on Sunday morning, other than that I've been playing on daily basis and it plays like a charm! The matchmaking works great, no lag, no disconnections so the game launch has been far frmo the hell some users claim. Now onto the game. This is an asymmetrical game, you enter a room with other players, one of you plays Jason and the rest the counselors. The game game generates a random map with different layouts, the cabins, the highway, the boat, the car, etc. Then you have Jason trying to kill them all, while the rest of the players has to escape or survive. This can be achieved by doing different things, and this is one of the differences with Dead by Deadlight, while in that game you have to turn on the generators to open the exit and escape, in Friday the 13th you can escape by car, by boat or calling the police with a radio and running to them, but not before you fix those things, you have to fix it first and the parts are across the whole map. Also you can "win" surviving Jason until the match is over and it is also possible to kill Jason, but that is not easy task, There are different items like your flashlight (always with you), a map, pipes, machetes, pocket knives, gun flares, shotgus, bear traps, etc. and any of those items can be the difference between life or death. On the other side Jason has different skills that make him overpowered (like it should be), most of them are amazing. You will unlock new counselors, the Jason from different movies, etc so there is some character progression, both for the counselors and Jason, and different versions of Jason have different skills. You can also personalize slightly the look of the counselors as you progress. The game is brutal as it should be, Jason's finishers are as gory as it gets, Jason will use his hands or weapons, and also he will use the enviroment, no matter the situation they are very creative with the kills. The game is not perfect tho, it looks good but there are some weird animations, even comical, not sure if someone could be bothered by this, I find it funny, it is one of those weird occations when you don't know if it was on purpose. Being an asymmetrical game every match feels like something new, even when it has the same goals. I hope they expand on this game, they should add customization options, perks, characters, maps, etc. At this point there is the single player campaign confirmed and coming soon, so there is more content comming. I'm having a great time with the game and to be honest it comes as a surprise, I was worried about the game and never thought it could be this fun. Most things are great, some things are rough or not very polished, but the result is really fun. This is comming from an avid gamer and a fan of this franchise. Friday The 13th for the NES in 1989, so I'm very very happy to have another Friday The 13th game after almost 30 years! And that was a mediocre game, because the new one is good and tons of fun!

After almost a month dedicated to this game, I finished and 100% TLOU2. Took me about 40 hours to platinum the game. Here are some thoughts: Pros: +World building +Music score +Animation +Level design +Lighting effects +Impressive accessibility options (even if I won't need them) +Attention to detail (is full of things most won't notice) +A technical achievement. Cons: -Although I don't have a problem with Abby she didn't click on me, in a game like this it is all about the engagement of the player with the characters. -Abby/Lev's story didn't feel as powerful and meaningful as Joel/Ellie's. -Game dragged in the 2nd half, felt too long. TLOU2 has it's own identity. I'm glad it happened, but also see some flaws when they decided to come back to a story that was perfect. The reception probably would be better if they moved away from Joel and Ellie's story. Even if I didn't like some things, the game is incredible.

Dreams is way more than a game, but before talking about it let me tell you that I was never hyped for this game. It looks cute, just like Little Big Planet and Tearaway, and although both are great games they are not my cup of tea so I was never really sold on Dreams. The marketing for this game wasn’t that great either, so I was ready to pass on it. Lucky for me and almost by accident, I saw some creations on YouTube and I was really impressed. I got instantly hooked. It is really impressive how powerful it is as a development tool. You can play games, you can create stuff like art or music, and you can develop a full game. The game does a great job with the tutorial, and it also has some projects where you can see the potential. It’s worth to mention that some people have recreated old-school games and I saw some people willing to give us titles that were cancelled, some of them with impressive results. Dreams is really impressive in many fronts, fun to play, charming, and an incredible powerful tool. I’ve seen creations from the community that could pass for the work of a professional studio. Can’t wait to see what the community brings and also what I will do with Dreams!

I don't want to waste your time writing about how wonderful Catherine is, for that you should check some old reviews of the original game, I'll just say that it is a fantastic game and that you should give it a try. Now I'll jump to the Full Body version of the game. This is way more than I expected. Back in the day I played this game and loved every minute with it. It has a really solid story, great acting, solid gameplay with great puzzles and incredible music. They could very well put this game on HD and sell it again, but they really improved themselves. They added a new love interest and it's way more than an after thought, I was expecting a new segment, but it was integrated in the regular game. They added a bunch of features in the whole package, like the remix mode and new features on the easy mode if you just want to enjoy the story. The game has new cutscenes, music, dialogues, etc. This is how the industry should release old games!

I received my copy yesterday. The steelbook its a thing of beauty. First the facts, then my opinion. If you already played the game and are expecting new content you will be disappointed. The differences are a graphic improvement for 4k (also noticeable in full HD), a new soundtrack with live orchestra (you can pick the original too), the option to pick English/Japanese language voices, it Includes all the DLC (it was just the narration of the game with the voices of every character) and pretty much that's it. The PS4 also features cross play with PS3 and PS Vita and cloud upload/download, so you can continue your progress between anyone of the 3 platforms. Now my impressions, it has been a long time since I played the game and to be honest I forgot how good it is. It is an old school beat-em-up but it is way more than a button smasher. You can play as any of 6 heroes, each of them represents a class from the old school RPG's: Fighter, Dwarf, Amazon, Elf (Archer), Sorceress and Wizard. Each class has two different skill trees, one they share in common (HP, some moves like slide, etc) and another unique skill tree for each particular class. Another very important thing, depending of your weapon you have different moves, if you are playing a wizard the fire rod has different attacks than the ice or the lightning rod, and enemies have specific weakness, so this also add some variety. The game has 9 stages and each stage has two paths, depending the path you will fight a specific boss and most of the grinding in this game is around those 9 (or 18) stages, There are some special quests that requires to kill a certain number of enemies or do something very specific in one of the stages, so there are plenty of reasons to come back to those stages. The game is all about grinding, you will need to upgrade your character around level 30 to get the character specific ending, but after this the game escalates to Hard difficulty and the bosses change from level 18-30 to level 30-60. When you complete the game again in Hard you unlock Infernal difficulty, and the bosses change from level 60 to level 100. There are also a few other "modes", there is a fight with the ancient dragon outside the 9 stages and when you beat the dragon you unlock the Labyrinth of Chaos, this mode is basically a random dungeon generator. When you beat the ancient dragon in normal you get access to floors 1-3, when you beat the ancient dragon in hard you get access to floors 4-6, and when you beat Infernal Ancient Dragon, you get access to floors 7-99. For those looking for a challenge when you complete the Labyrinth of chaos on Infernal you unlock the Tower of Mirage, where enemies can be level 255, but your cap is level 99, so yeah, it gets pretty rough. As you can see there are plenty of stuff in here. I have 70 hours logged, a level 88 Amazon, and the rest of my characters are level 28-35. There is plenty of people playing online, and if you activate online mode you will be paired with them randomly, or join a specific friend. If you are not into MP you can also play solo or pick 3 companions controlled by the AI (and if they are of upper levels they can get the job done and carry you). The game looks beautiful, the graphics are hand drawed, with vibrant colors and pretty cool animations. Some people feel uncomfortable with the character design, specially because of the exaggeration of the proportions of the amazon and the sorceress (the males are as much ridiculous and exaggerated, but that doesn't seem to bother them). Personally I love the art style. It has addicting gameplay, a good challenge and there are plenty of hours to get from here. Based on the fun I have I give it a 9/10 (it could use more stages).

So I got Dragon's Crown and the game delivers. Fantastic game. It's an old school beat-em up game with RPG elements. This is not a professional review but I'll write a little about this game. You'll pick one of the 6 available characters and, unlike most games in this genre, the characters really play different. You'll be upgrading your character with common skills and skills unique to your class. You'll find powerful and enchanted weapons, armour and items. In case you are wondering the armour and items doesn't change the appearance of your character, but you can customize your character's name and color swap. The level design is a little weird. There is this town with common locations like the tavern, temple, Mage's tower, adventurer's guild, castle and stables among others and a gate that will take you to your adventure. The first levels you'll play solo but after you beat the 9 missions available multiplayer will be unlocked and it's fantastic. You'll be playing any of the 9 missions again and again but now there is another path available for each of those missions, a different boss included, so that gives us 18 stages. There are a ton of quests with secret rooms, hidden objects, challenges with regular enemies, bosses, etc. Those quests give you experience, unlocks art (the art is fantastic!) and skill points to upgrade your character. The soundtrack is good too, at first I didn't notice but when the credits were rolling I realize how much I like it. The graphics are fantastic, the game looks like a living paint. There has been some controversy for the art style of the game, specially for the over-sexualized female characters but the art is consistent, the Amazon and the Sorceress are just as exaggerated as the Fighter or the Dwarf, and you can appreciate this even in the monsters. For some people this is offensive but for others it's part of the charm of the game. As I write this I've played with a single class. I'm very happy with the game. I'm hooked, I want to continue playing to reach level 99, beat the whole thing and then jump into the next class to start again.

Incredible deep for a downloadable game. It's well balanced and it has a good lenght. I wish it would be longer but not because it's short, it has a very decent length for a downloadable game (15 hours to complete it 100% on my first time) but I'd love to have more of it. The game has a ton of 8bit references and easter eggs to games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania and also recent games like Minecraft, Castle Crashers, Journey, etc. It's charming. Great combat, upgrades, skills, level design, etc. Kudos Drinkbox!

Believe the critic reviews. The game is that good. It is a great story, with amazing, believable characters, incredible voice acting and music score, top notch sound effects and atmosphere, great and brutal gameplay where every kill counts, in most video games you pass across waves of enemies but killing doesn't matter, in this game every kill counts, it's close and personal, it's necessary. The Last of Us is a jewel. I have found a couple of glitches, but nothing that hinders the experience. The game is a masterpiece.
